Are you just trying to put the hose into the cuff? If so, you just need to know that the cuff is threaded so the wire of the hose fits in the threads. If you're asking about the assembly at the top of the hose--I don't know. Probably you have to take the green shell apart and work from the inside. Good luck.

How do i replace a valve assemblyon a hoover widepath f6020

You don't need a new hose. Remove the two Phillips head screws which hold down the wand cover. Be very careful when removing these parts. Pay close attention on how these parts are assembled. They are spring loaded and will fly out the end of the hose assembly when the cover is removed. The wand valve assembly or the nozzle valve assembly or usually the parts that break. Simplicity 7350 brush roller will not agitate on carpet, suction is fine as is the belt.

Your belt may look fine but if it's over 6 months old it may be stretched and Is slipping. At the age your vacuum is there may be a minor worn part that your dealer could fix easily. You have a
very durable long lasting vacuum but it could benefit from an occasional professional service. It will increase the life of your vacuum and save money in the long run.

How do I change the hose on a dc25 animal

Hi there,

To fit a replacement hose to your DC25, please follow these steps:

  • Remove the clear bin and cyclone assembly from your machine
  • Disengage the wand from your machine, and detach this from the old hose
  • To remove the old hose from the machine, locate the locking tab - push this inwards as you pull the hose up and away from the machine
  • Slot the new hose into place - the lower cord hook should face outwards, while the locking tab faces inwards. It should lock into place with an audible 'click'
  • With the new hose secured in place, you can now replace the wand and cyclone assembly
You may find the video embedded below helps in identifying the locking tab and fitting the new hose.

Alternatively, if you'd prefer one of our advisors to talk you through the process, please give us a call free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).

Simplicity F3500-- how do I get the bottom off to change the belt?

To change the belt on the Simplicity F3500, unplug the vacuum and turn it upside down. There are two tabs (one on each side) behind the beater bar that hold the cover on the vacuum. Press these tabs inward and lift the bottom plate away from the unit.

Then remove the brushroll and the worn or broken belt from the pulley on the side of the brush roll and the drive shaft. Loop the new belt over the driveshaft and the brushroll. Replace the brushroll in the housing and turn it by hand. Make sure that the belt is seated on the driveshaft and pulley with no twists. Also check that all of the rotating parts will move.

Then put the bottom cover back on by aligning the back hinges and then pressing the plate down until both sides click.

For pictures of the cover removal process, look at page 15 in the manual. The direct link is http://www.simplicityvac.com/about-my-simplicity/manuals/FreedomManual_Update0803.pdf . Most Simplicity vacuum manuals are available at their support site: http://www.simplicityvac.com/about-my-simplicity/manuals/ .

I hope this helps.

I have the 7350 prodry carpet cleaner and it while cleaning a room today it completely shut off with no rhyme or reason.

It has a build in clog protector. Once the machine starts to overheat due to a clog, it should shut off to prevent burn out. Unplug the unit, Make sure there are no clogs, sometimes even the smallest clog does not seem major but remove them. Also, make sure cannesters are all connected proper and tight. Good luck!

How to replace Simplicity vac brush roll strips?

The caps will come out of the end of the metal roller. They can be difficult if it's been a long time as dirt and grime can build up. Try sticking a flat head screwdriver in and gently twisting to get the caps to slide out.

Hoover Floormate H3000 replace water intake hose

I have the same model with a broken water recovery hose. I can tell you how to get the old one off. Would you tell me Hoover's name and part# or item# for the part? I'm not sure I have found the right name or part number to order...

Remove the recovery tank. Remove 2 screws behind the recovery tank that hold a plastic cover on the collar connecting the recovrery hose to the "flat" plastic channel mounted behind the recovery tank. Remove the front nozzle and the brushes. Remove the grey outer cover from the top of the floor head section by prying upwardd on the front of the grey cover. Remove the plastic tie strap from around the recovery hose, water delivery hose, and the cable that runs up the length of the handle to the button that turns the brush motor on/off. I was able to "relaese the locking mechanism" on my tie strap and remove it so I think it is reusable, but you may have to cut/break yours then replace it on reassembly.

Now you have to unhook the front of the wheel assembly so it will swing down out of the way. This will be easier if you set the Dry/Wet selector to "Dry Pickup". To unhook the wheel assembly: (1) Dissconnect the cable associted with the brushes by pulling the black ball on the end of the cable upwards and out of the small black rectangular plastic connector. You'll probably also have to pull the cable's outer sheath upwards out of the channel it rests in. (2) Look directly behind and below where that ball was connected to find a small black post around which an arm is fastened by an elongated hole on the end of the arm. This post is designed to "pop" in and out of palce. (3) Using something like a pair of needle nose pliers, pop the post out by applying pressure toward the side of the head that has the Handle Release lever. (Be carefull not to drop and loose this post as I almost did.) Now from beneath the head, with a little force and some wiggling you should be able to pull the front of the wheel assambly downward so it swings out of the way.

The best way I can think to describe the next steps is if you look at the new part you'll see 2 tabs sticking down from the bottom of it with slots in them One tab hooks on a bump in the aqua colored plastic just behind the black Brush Motor housing and one hooks on a similar bump just forward of the Brush Motor housing. Looking at the head from the bottom, the rear tab is easy to see. To see the front one, look for a small slot in the aqua plastic. Reach a small screwdriver in from the bottom of the head and pry these tabs off the bumps while applying some pressure on the old recovery hose part (the rear tab goes to the rear and the front tab goes forward). I broke both tabs off my old recovery hose part and luckily didn't do much damage to the bumps. Once you release these tabs the part should be loose from the head.

Now press the Handle Release to tilt the head down in a typical operating posoition and you should be able to pull the hose connector down off the "flat" plastic channel and out toward the front of the machine. If the new part does not come with a connector on the top end of the hose, you can unscrew the old connector from the old hose (turning the opposite direction of normal threads) and srcew it onto the new hose.

Assemble Swivel Assembly onto Kenmore Canister vac

Got this post off this web site...I just replaced my swivel and it worked:
http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/answers/Answers.action#l4q110567
To install a new swivel assembly, you will need 2 small, flat tip screw drivers. Unplug the vacuum. Push the screw drivers in between the hose and the collar where you see the seams in the plastic collar on the end where the hose enters the collar. This will release tabs that hold the collar to the swivel. Pry and pull the collar back over the hose and then pull the small screwdrivers out of the collar. Slide the collar back along the hose. Unplug the wiring connections from the hose. Pull the hose wires up and out of the holder on the swivel assembly. Lift the tabs on the side of the hose and pull it off of the swivel. Push the new swivel onto the hose. Align the hose wires and secure them in the holder. Plug the wires from the swivel into the hose wires (blue to blue, white to white). Secure the swivel wires into the wire holder on the swivel assembly. Push the collar back up the hose and onto the swivel with the plastic seams aligned with the tabs on each side of the hose. Snap the collar securely into place.
