Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Easiest way is to remove the hard drive and either fit it into another computer as a second drive, OR fit it into a usb caddy or enclosure, and plug it into another computer.
You can pick up 2.5" laptop drive enclosures from about £5.
A caddy to just slot it in from about £20, maplins have a neat little device for £20 http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?TabID=1&criteria=usb&ModuleNo=48965&C=SO&U=Strat15
