Have the same problem,, but the small button on the bottom of the start relay works to run the pump or if i put the two start 24 vt wires to the timer 24 vt spaces,, but can not get the timer to turn on the pump when it turns on the water, even tried the orbit help center, and they said it was faulty timer, so i replaced it ( another wasted 2 hrs to return the old and hook up the new one) only to find out it too was exactly the same results. Next round,, i look for a diferent brand timer and pump relay switch,,, hope this will solve my problem

Circuitry from fuse box (220v) to timer and to sprinkler pump 220v

Copy following link:
240Volt requires 2 hot wires, but not additional neutral wire. Just cap the neutral.
The rain sensor should have it's own power source (for example plug into outlet, or use 1 Hot and 1 Neutral to supply power to rain sensor), and then wires from rain sensor connect to two rain-sensor terminals located on timer.
Do not connect power directly the the rain sensor terminals.

Can I connect a rain guage to a intermatic T8805P101C sprinkler clock?

1) Not directly to timer, because the T8805P101C 125Volt sprinkler/irrigation timer does not have additional wiring terminals for rain sensor.

2) Buy R8815P101 125Volt timer has additional terminals for sensor.

3) If you are good at wiring projects: Then you can wire rain sensor to 24Volt 8-pin relay, and have relay open and close power to pump or sprinkler head.

4) Open following link for sprinkler timer resources:

I have a intrermatic r8816p101c that some one removed need to put new one back dont know how i have 2 red wires coming from pump and to red wires coming of the wall witch has a on and off switch how do i...

You have Intermatic 240Volt sprinkler timer.

Timer relay has 4 wiring terminals: from left to right 1 2 3 4
Red wires from switch connect to terminals 1 and 3
Red wires to pump connect to terminals 2 and 4
Since circuit is 240Volt, red wires from switch can be connected in either order. Same with pump.

Rain sensor terminals don't have any wires, unless you but separate rain sensor.

Have a intermatic sprinkler timer that is has been reconnected to the pump. it works in the manual mode but the timer does not work looking for help on the wiring (video for dummies preferred)

No video.
If manual override works, look to see if dial rotates on time for full 24 hours. If dial keeps good time, then timer clock motor is wired correctly. If dial stops rotating after tripper passes, then wiring is wrong. If trippers are absent or worn down then timer will not turn Load on-and-off.

How to set timer, and troubleshoot timer:

How to wire timer:

If this is not your timer, then add a comment with model number that appears on door panel.
The wiring block has 4 screw terminals. From left to right: 1 2 3 4
240Volts cable has two hot leads from breaker box. Hot leads from breaker box connect to screw terminals 1 and 3.
Timer operates 240Volt pump load. Cable to pump load has 2 wires. Connect Load wires to terminals 2 and 4.
