Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook
But the laptop works perfectly when connected to an external monitor. I was using it all day, shut it down and turned it on the next morning and got nothing on the screeen. Any ideas?
I'm having the same issues, i think my backlight just died on me -- when i turn on the computer its a pink tint screen then it just goes all dark, if i get up close enough then i can barely see some of the things. If it is the backlight, how much does that usually cost to fix?

Comment by tigerkitty, posted on May 14, 2008 When you say LCD backlight, do you mean the "lightbulbs"
that light up the monitor?
The LCD inverter is what controls the backlight display. If it goes bad the screen does not light up.

Could be a problem with the LCD backlight or the LCD ribbon connector fault. I would recommend taking it to a tech to get it serviced.
