Fist clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor specifically around your central processing unit making sure there is no moisture in the air line
as dust will cause a lot of static which will make a computer overheat and cause lots of problems
then test your power supply unit PSU or replace it
try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive one bad lead will cause a computer to shut down
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
then click start?run type?cmd then type?chkdsk/f which will automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive
you have to keep?a computer very clean & free of dust ?and? give it regular?maintanance
good luck with this

Open the case up make sure the fans are working on the power supply and the CPU, if they are not working the PC will overheat and shutdown until it cools down then will run again. If the CPU fan is not working then this will ultimately burn out the CPU

I have dell inspiron mini 1012 , when i turned it on booting it works then after 10 min it freeze, so i turned it off and tried to power on it worked but it didn't find the operating system, i tri

It sounds like your system might be running hot. Do you hear the fan running? If so it will turn on after it has cooled off, but once it gets hot it will turn off. If you immediately try to turn it back on, it won't work until the system has cooled off.

Laptops overheat because of the following problems:
1. Dust has clogged the Fans, Vents, CPU & Heat Sink Area
2. The FAN has stopped working
3. The Thermal Paste around the CPU and HeatSink has either dried up or is too thin to keep the system cool.

Try a can of compressed air and blow out the areas you can get to around the vents. You'll have to take the laptop apart to get to the Fan, CPU and Heatsink

My Gateway GT5412 suddenly freezes without warning, sometimes the mouse still works and sometimes not. The computer doesn't respond to anything or any button press except a hard power down, then when...

No, it has nothing to do with the fan - a program is using all the power of the processor so when you are forced to shut it down the hard way the file system gets corrupted. If you keep doing it in the end the corruption will be too great to recover and Windows will be completely gone.
To find out what program is causing this you should open Task Manager and have it set as Always On Top from the Options and on Processes tab. When the pc freezes look at it, the bad program will use more than 95% CPU. Restart the pc and uninstall that program.

My pc is stuck

This kind of screen lock is usually caused by heat. Some component is heating up past it's tolerance. The problem is which one? Are all your fans working? There should be 1 or 2 fans in the power supply, 1 or 2 fans in the case, 1 fan directly mounted on the CPU and 1 or 2 fans for the Video chip. If all these are working then I would do one of the following: if you have the capability, put a scope on one of the cpu data lines. You should see a constant flow of data - even after another chip freezes the system. If you can't do this then just sub out the CPU. Don't forget the heat grease on the replacement CPU. If this doesn't help then you'll need a reputable repair person or check out my website:

My CPU freezes a random times or when i reset it, video will not come on, but the cpu comes on.. I have to power it down a couple of times. Does that sound like a video card going bad? Radeon 7000 graphics...

it could be your graphics card going, before purchasin a new 1, check that all your fans are working and that your cpu cooling fan or heatsink has not come loose. those type of problems cause the computer to shut down because of overheat. last but not least your hard drive can be going bad and its hitting bad sectors causing it to shut down or freeze.

Buzzer sound from intel d101ggc motherboard

Check the fans in your pc, it sounds like at least one of them isent working properly and your pc gets overheated. When a pc going to warm it gets really slow and hangs.
My guess is that the CPU-fan dosent work properly and your CPU gets overheated, but check all the fans to be sure. The CPU fan runs cantantly, check so it dosent stop now and then.

Good luck

System warning pop-up

Are you sure that nothing is overheating? If your cpu fan is turning too slow it won't disipate the heat. Do you have a program showing cpu temp:? I would take the access off the bottom and make sure the cpu fan is clean. If that is not the problem I believe you can turn the warnings off in the bios settings
