No they are not. The drum unit (DR510) is a separate cartridge from the TN570 toner cartridge. The toner will last around 6,000 pages while the drum unit is good for 20,000.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Changed colour cartridges but it still says drum error

The "drum" is where the laser adds/subtracts an electrical charge to each spot on the drum.

The printer "throws" the powdered-ink at the drum.
The ink sticks to the "charged" spots, and does not stick to the "non-charged" spots.

Then, the printer puts a sheet of paper in contact with the drum, and the ink is transferred to the paper.

Then, the "fuser" heats the paper & ink, and "melts" the ink into the paper.

So, changing the ink-cartridges will _NOT_ fix any "drum" problem.

No Ink going to the drum

Good day, there are several reason why theres no ink comming inside the drum. These are the following reason why:
1. Loose rubber O-ring in nozzle of your pump unit.
2. Broken inking hose.(hose size 12 & 10)
3. Clog from ink filter between the nozzle and inking hose.
4. Malfunction on pump motor.
You should verify all those item by dismantling those parts. Just replace any of those parts your drum will surely pump ink again.

What does the error code P04-513 means ? Risograph

P04-513 means ink overflow. Don't worry though, sometimes this is not always the case. The ink sensor inside the drum has two antennas, a short one a long one. The long one is always supposed to have ink on when sticking into the ink bead. If it doesn't it calls for the ink pump to turn on and draw ink from the bottle. If the short one ever gets ink on it, this error code comes up. Sometimes it is just caused by ink splattering inside.
Take off the drum screen and drum body. Inside, you will see these two antennas in the ink bead. Clean out most of the ink and make sure the small antenna has no ink on it. Reassemble.

You can expect it to print 12,000 Page Yield
Whats the difference between a DRUM and a TONER Cartridge? The toner cartridge is a cartridge holding the toner (ink). The drum does the work to transfer the ink to the paper. You will need to replace the drum every 5-6 toner cartridges you use.

Have riso cr1610 - prints for few copies, stops, displays error code E 04

Ink overflow.. On each end of the drum there is adjustments that can be made to the squeege. This is what scrapes the ink through the screen. These scrapers may be applying too much ink or internally too much ink is in the drum. These scrapers can be adjusted from each end. If you have a hard time getting the copy dark enough try to increase the flow of ink through.. this will take away the ink inside quicker. Another problem could be cheap aftermarket ink. I noticed i had a problem with one supplier that the ink was so thin it actually drips out of the drum when not in use.. The only other solution is to adjust the drum internally if the problem persists. This means removal of the drum to adjust ink flow.. This shouldn't be the problem..

My Riso RP 3100 is not getting ink to the drum I switched out to another drum and the same thing- feels like the machine ''attacked'' the second drum the same way. Master is almost dry. Any help?

Ok,if you strip the drum open and remove the drum body there is a gear with a one way bearing on the inking roller remove that gear and clean the bearing and the sarft it is running on.If the machine is giving the same problem that ger needs to be replaced.
Remember if you strip the drum the drum is full of ink and can get everything full of ink.If you dont know how to strip the drum it is beter to get a qualified technicin to do the job.
Hope this was helpfull
