Question about Dolphin Maytronics Advantage

The cable has come out of the cable socket at the caddy end on my Dolphin Advantage Pool Cleaner. The two wires (black and white) inside the cable need to go back into the numbered holes of the socket. There are four holes but only two wires. Please help.

Easy i think you are baffled by four possible connection possibilities ,now even if you wire it up with + and - wires around the wrong way it will only go backwards instead of forewards ,their is only a 12v motor inside ,have another look and just try connecting it up you cannot damage anything as their is no fancy electrics inside just a motor .I repaired one which was german made with the same sort of problem except the rats had chewed the cable and the entry piece ,so i soldered the wires up and then sealed it up with silicone .it went backwards so i changed the wires around on the transformer end job done

Pulled wires from control box, where do they go?

If you are referring to the blue cable that has a black plug on the end; the one that connects the cleaner to its power supply, the connections are: white to 2, black to 3 and if present, red to the post marked with a ground symbol; three small lines. Post one is always empty. If that is not the end you need, please clarify which it is you need to reconnect.

Have a Dolphin Dynamic. The cable ripped out of the unit. have a red white black wires.on the othe end there are ports labeled 1,2,3,4. can i put these wires anywhere or is there a specific schematic. ty

“4” is not a 4 but a ground symbol. Put white to 2, black to 3 and red to ground.

Dolphin Dynamic pool cleaner-when turning around it locks up?


My 4 prong ( numbers 1 2 3 4) with 3 wires red black and white got pulled out and i cant find anything that tells me how to match what color to what number

Yes but it is going to be tricky. You will need to open up the power supply and pull the black and white wire from the cable socket. Note what position they were connected to for reassembly later. Now strip the cable back enough to get to the wires inside and connect them white to white and black to black. Turn the dolphin upside down (tracks towards the ceiling) and turn it on. It should go thru a series of motions lasting about 30 seconds and then stop. If it does it has just passed a self test and will likely work in your pool.
