Question about Canon Digital Cameras

My PowerShot A570 stop adding the date/time stamp on each shot. Followed the directions and the selected menu won't let me enable it. It used to work. Does the internal battery (not the AA batteries) need changing? pvquan@verizon.net

According to page 33 of the manual, the date/time stamp can only be embedded in the image in the Postcard mode. Set the image size (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard) to Postcard.

I want to switch off the date stamp in my pictures taken with A480, please.

Press Menu, scroll down to "Date stamp" and across to select off, date or date and time, then press menu again. The date stamp only works in Postcard mode, so if you set a different picture resolution, that will also stop the pictures being date stamped.

Date stamp on photos option is not getting enable in my camera, how to make it enable.

In the <REC> menu, its an option called <Date Stamp>. You need to toggle it to <ON>.

Note that when its on, it permanently etches the date into the picture, so you need to make sure your time and date are set correctly.

Page 33 of the manual explains it (with pictures)

How do I set a Canon PowerShot S3 IS so the date appears on the photo when I download it and/or print it?

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Powershot A720 Date Function

Do you want date/time stamp?

If so, you will have to be in postcard resolution.
To achieve this you will put your camera in shooting mode, hit function/set button, arrow down to bottom left corner where you will see L, M, S and postcard modes. Select the one that looks like a postcard.

Hit function/set to get out of there. Now hit menu and go to setup menu (tools) and arrow down to date stamp and make sure it's on date and time.

images shot in this resolution will look good as 4x6 prints, but should not be printed any larger or they will look pixelated, not good quality for larger prints.

Either that or you can add date and time in the Zoombrowser program that came with your camera should you need larger prints with date/time stamp.

I hope this helps!
