Betty, its best not to post your serial number on here.

Please go to this link:

http://trial.trendmicro.com/en-US/TAV16/TIS16s_HelpFiles/tis16_gm_gsg_en_Web.pdf

This should help.

If the program is not coming up, you may have a bad install cd. Do other cd's work properly? If so, return the item.

How to instal best anti virus for my pc and how this work for i insert pen drive they anti virus is scanning this automaticly

No matter which antivirus you use (personally, I recommend Trend Internet Security), be sure you scan all your drives, including any flash drives before you use them.
It is best if they are scanned automatically.

Hey guys, how's it goin? I am in the middle of downloading a pirated copy of Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus 2011, and I am told that because it's a "free copy", I am going to need something...

Fixya does not promote piracy. Instead of trying to use a pirated product, you can try using a free antivirus like Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast Antivirus.

If you already have a bad virus that won't let you do anything on the computer, follow the instructions on this link to clean up your computer.

Yes it may be possible, installing and updating antivirus may have figured our corruption in urlmon.dll deleted the file or did some changes due to which you are getting the critical error

You can try 2 things,

1. Restore earlier settings, which may uninstall your antivirus and you need to install again. But if this works recommend you to first scan the system with free standalone antivirus availalable and then install your version of antivirus. Try following link

http://go.trendmicro.com/housecall7/HousecallLauncher.exe
http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/rootkitbuster/RootkitBuster_2.80.1077.zip
2. Repair the URLMON.DLL file

1.Insert your Windows XP CD in your CD-ROM drive and boot your computer from the CD.
2.When the Welcome to Setup screen appears, press R to open the Recovery Console.
3.When prompted for an administrator password, type the password and then press Enter. In case no administrator password was set, just press Enter.
4.At the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter
cd %systemroot%\system32
5.Next, type the following command to rename the urlmon.dll file and press Enter.
ren urlmon.dll urlmon.old.dll
6.Now, to restore the original urlmon.dll, type the following command and press Enter.
expand [CD drive letter]:\i386\urlmon.dll %systemroot%\system32 /Y
7.Next, type exit and press Enter.
8.Restart your computer.

3. Repair complete OS. You will need XP CD
Boot from CD and follow the instructions to repair the OS

Need to have system reinstalled

If it's an OEM system (like a Gateway, Dell, etc.) you should have a recovery disk or restore disk that you can just put in, reboot and let run. It will, of course, put everything back to how it was from the factory - so any data would be lost.

Barring that, a quick googling of "Best buy waco, tx" shows one of their stores that has PC maintenance and repair listed on Waco Dr.
(254) 741-1050Check in the phone book under PC repair or Computer repair and service. I have no idea what they'd charge.

Trend Micro Antivirus/Vista Antivirus 2008

Hello there.

Unfortunately you have been infected, by the software called "Vista Antivirus 2008". What this software does is infect you, then prompt you to pay to remove the infection that it installed. So it is a scam.

What i would recommend is use the uninstall instructions from here http://www.windowsvistaplace.com/xp-antivirus-2008-removal-instructions-xp-antivirus-2008/spyware-removal

This will remove the infection (and others) from your system.

Once you have completed the steps, be sure to try an online scanner such as housecall here http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
This will not conflict with your already-installed Trend Micro software, it mearly runs through your web browser.

On that note, Internet Explorer is not very safe for browsing the Internet with, i would recommend either Firefox or Opera for a safer/better browsing experience.

Hope this helps.
