Yamaha 3000ise. 23.3 breaker cutting out on RV AC. After 4 tries it seems to get weaker. Is their a curcuit breaker on the 23.3 amp side that could be getting weak and what do i have to replace?

Make sure the power draw on the AC doesn't exceed 3000 watts. 2300 running, 3000 surge watts. You may have an AC problem developing. The circuit breaker on the generator seems weaker when you reset it because of internal heat. Let the breaker cool a while before resetting.

Circuit breaker switch to rv water heater blew and will not reset. Was working until I overloaded the unit's 30 amp service. Reset GDIF switch and replaced water heater element, per RV tech's advice.

if you have overloaded the system , it is possible that at some point the insulation has broken down and there is current leakage that is tripping the rcd unit
the current can be in milliamps so best get in an electrician to check the entire system on that breaker

What can I troubleshoot to determine why my RV Rooftop Heatpump does not work on generator, only shore power?

There are a couple of possible causes:

1. There is a Front/Rear Switch somewhere in the unit, usually in the main salon or near the breaker box. This is most common if your generator is not large enough to run 2 units at the same time. It is not always labeled as such, sometimes it's just 1 or 2 and in others it's a set of breakers.

2. You have dropped a leg from the generator output. Normally the generator has 2 outputs, each feeding a separate circuit. This could be in the generator, the transfer switch or the breaker box. If you have issues with other 110v circuits, this would be a place to start.

I have a 1979 Southwind Fleetwood RV I need to replace the circuit breakers and or fuses located in the rear circuit breaker box unit.is there a difference between RV and home circuit breakers?

It could be if your breakerwhen you remove it says 120 volt or 240 volt than no same but if it is saying DC volts than yes different should say what it is on side of breaker or on in side of breaker box door I would think age of rv mostly 120volts

I have 150A circuit breaker which controls the power to the daughter box on one side of my house This box runs a/c pool and heater I believe the neater shorter tripping the breaker. I've tried...

the line in order shouldn't be an issue as they run in series of 3 , it sounds to me like you just have a weak breaker that trips with little feedback, and isn't resetting correctly

I have a Quick Cool (59516.501) which just started tripping the 20 A circuit breaker. I replaced the circuit breaker. Unit still trips the circuit breaker.

you will need to access the unit and look for burnt/shorted wires on/at compressor. if not then the compressor is locked down/shorted and will need replaced Tim

Have an excel 5th wheel GFCI circuit breaker that popped and won't re-set. CBs are Cutlter-Hammer BR120 that I can get at Lowes. What ara the steps to remove and replace?

It should be a simple process. Make sure that all power is off to the panel and wear safety glasses. Now simply open the panel and take out the dead front that is protecting the inside of the panel. Remove the "hot" from the bad circuit breaker. The GFI breaker has a wire going to the neutral bar. You need to remove it. Then remove the breaker by pulling it out. To install simply reverse the above

Rooftop rv air conditioner doesn't work - what can I check myself without taking the rv to a repair place? will any air conditioner repair place do repairs or do I need to use an rv place?

I'm assuming when you say 'doesn't work' you mean 'nothing comes on,' i.e. the fan or the compressor.

If that's the case I would check for the AC breaker to see if it's tripped. Usually a 'tripped' breaker will look half on and half off, but sometimes it will be completely in the off positiion. Either way - it's usually because of a malfunction of the AC unit, so if that's the problem I would moniter it closely to see if it trips again. If it trips again in the immediate future I would then want to investigate the AC unit for the cause.

Also, some RV's have fuses in the AC circuit - so you could check and see if you have any fuses labled AC or AC control voltage. If so - you can usually - tell by looking whether they are bad or not. If that's not possible try replacing your 'AC labled fuse' with a new one of the same size.

I would also check your power supply (where the power cord to your RV plugs into) to make sure it is providing the proper voltage to your RV. Note: They also have breakers out on the box that you can reset. If they (breakers) appear ok - and you are at a RV park you could have the Park personel - check and to be sure the proper voltage is availible to your RV.

good luck!

Sharp R-1850A Mocrowave Convection - No power

Chances are if the internal fuse and magnetron thermostat are good, then you have a circuit board that needs repair.

You can probably find exploded views at the Sears parts site. If you find a bad thermostat, the best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics.

We regularly repair these control panels for customers nationwide (RV owners & dealers, too) with our guaranteed $39.95 service.

Feel free to contact me directly for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
