Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Kid Tough Digital camera is not being recognized on my computer

The camera should not need software to connect to the computer. It should be "Plug & Play". Try plugging the camera into a different USB port (look on the back of the computer). The software is only needed to customize the pictures. Ensure the camera is turned on after plugging in the USB cable. If no result, open the Control Panel and look at the Scanners and Camera settings.
If you know how to view the devices using Device Manager, open it and look for any yellow highlighted icons. If you have any highlighted icons, then that is where the trouble lies.

When I review my pictures on my camera there are blank pages and the camera freezes up when I get to a blank spot. some pics have come through but not all. when I try to import to my computer everything...

Try to download your pictures to the computer. First make sure the camera has enough power to download the images without stopping. Connect the USB cable to the computer make sure the camera is off when you connect the mini USB end to the camera, then turn the camera on and depending on your computer operating system an icon will show on your desktop or in system preferences and an external hard drive. Once you have the pictures safely on your computer Hard Drive "eject" or click the icon to close and wait for safe to remove device )depends on system) then format the memory card always format the card or delete pictures in the camera not the computer.

Casio ex-z50 is not recognising the memory card .. I have tried a number of SD and Mulitmedia cards .. any firmware upgrade or any other solution to this problem ?

Right click on your start Icon and select Explore and see if it shows up
there when installed prior to rebooting your computer.
Also see if you can use the USB cable that came with your camera to connect
to your computer when the camera power is turned on.
ansd connect the camera with diffrent usb port or if you any other computer then connect with the second computer because it seems to be problem with usb port.

Connecting the Kodak easyshare C813 to usb, then noting happens, what shall i do?

Dear Hanne_Wolt,
Here are the few things that you might want to check.
1) When you connect your camera to the USB of your computer and switch on the camera ... Does your computer recognize that an USB device has been attached to it? It would generally show a balloon on right hand side bottom corner in windows OS and would show a green arrow icon in the system trey when the device is ready to use.

2) Do you see any new drive letter in "My computer"?

3) When you right click on "My computer" --> Properties --> Hardware tab --> Device manager button ..
Under the USB devices do you see any Red "X" or "!" marks?

4) Does the computer recognise any other USB devices like printer and modem ...

Please let me know the above and I would be glad to assist you ahead..

Regards,
Srinivas.

I can't veiw my pictures on my computer

Make sure cable is connected and fully in both camera and the USB port of your computer. Try a different USB port. If you have another cable, try with that. If the camera does not show up when you click computer icon by clicking start and then computer, you probably need to install the drivers for your camera. Good Luck!!!!!

Canon PowerShot SD750

Connect the USB cable and turn on the camera, open My Computer, you will see an camera icon 'Canon xxxxxx'. double click this icon, all pictures will show up, select the pictures then drag them to your folder. Just like you copy files from this folder to another folder:-)

When we plug the camera into the macintosh it wont recognize the camera

Well after a bit of trial and error, I found a somewhat consistent solution.  Here are the steps:
1.  While the camera is off, plug the USB cable into the camera (Don't plug the other end of the USB cable into the computer yet)
2.  Turn the camera on and press the mode button
3.  Navigate to the Camera icon
4.  Plug the USB cable into the computer (the camera icon will change to the USB screen)
5.  You will notice nothing happens!
6.  Unplug the USB cable from the computer
7.  The camera screen switches back to the Camera icon
8.  Plug the USB cable back into the computer and a VTech 773 icon should show up on your desktop.
9.  When your finished copying pictures to your hard drive, drag the VTech 773 icon to the trash.
I don't know why it works but it worked 9 out of 10 times for me.
Let me know if you find a simpler solution.

USB not recognized, no safe removal icon, wont switch off

I had the same problem. Nothing seemed to help, I even re-installed Nikon View. This helped, though. After you've connected the USB cable to both computer and camera, twist the camera end of the cable towards front of the camera. It seems like either the cable or the socket in the camera is damaged.
