Can't seem to get the pictures to show randomly.

If you mean that you can't see all the pictures you've taken with your camera to show randomly on your camera screen, you need to activate the Slideshow feature in your camera menu.
Some cameras have this feature while others don't, check the menu on your camera and look for Slide Show, if it has it then you can go back and press the review button for your photos and it should play/show all the photos you've taken in a slide show fashion, hope this helps ?

Deactivating Do Not Disturb command

I loosely followed Solution #2's answer. If you pick up the phone, the display screen will show options above each of the 4 'arrow' buttons. The one to the far right, for me anyway, showed something looking like this: >>>

I hit it and it showed a number of options, one being "DND". Hitting that deactivated (or activated) DND on the phone I was currently on. That solved the problem for me.

Cannot find the histogram function setup

switch your camera on the dial to the mountains. press the set button. scroll down to the wrench.scroll in the wrench menu down to the thrid page which has the histogram on it- turn it on. it isn't available in all modes. I'm sure there are other ways to do it- this is how I found it.

Strange icon on display in playback mode

You can get rid of the icon by first turning off the "Histogram" icon in the display/view menu.

Note: Histogram icon is the one that allows us to view and check the exposure correctness of a picture.

LCD screen flashing

Hi!
This is a feature and not a defect of the K100D. You can turn this off by going to the menu and going into the second tab (playback menu). Once there, go to preview display, where you will have 3 options - off, histogram and brighten areas. Set this to off (your camera is set to brighten areas, that is why the white parts of your photos appear to be blinking).
Hope this helps!

Bell South 2250 one seems to be voice activated and other not voice activated.

To turn off sound activation press the menu button 3 times to enter VOX mode. The VOX icon should be flashing, then press the down button till the number of bars dissappear. Press the menu button to confirm the VOX off mode. You also can adjust the sensitivity of the VOX mode by how many bars are displayed, less bars equal less sensitivity. No bars and voice command is deactivated. Hope this helps.

Sony dsc-d770 histogram

Yes. It can be set to automatically show the histogram after every exosure, or on demand by pressing the review button twice. Both are done in CAM mode.
