Right click on the desktop and select properties
then in the properties select settings
change the screen resolution from 800 by 600 pixels to anything more than this figure. click apply and see that the icons will get small. for the touch mouse try reinstalling its driver. Go to control panel, then device manager. in that select touch pad or something like that and the option which will be inside the touchpad option, right click it and select update driver, while remaining connected online. this way it will search for the latest driver for the touchpad

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Fix scrolling touch pad

Do you use Synaptics or a similar add-on for Windows? Then go to Start>Control Panel[Large/Small Icons]>Mouse>Last tab to right and double-click your touch pad in the upper list, and you will be presented with a plethora of settings for your touch pad. Scrolling should be one of them. Mack sure your desired options are checked, and click Apply or OK on that window to save those settings. Then click OK on the Mouse properties to exit.

Gateway laptop mouse not responding

In the rows above your Function keys (F1-F12) you should see some icons above F7-F12 (these are capacitive touch keys). If you see one with a square with a hand pointing with a plus sign, and it's red, just touch it. It's a touch key to disable your touchpad.

How to turn off mouse on laptop when using wireless mouse

Now depending on the model of your laptop, the procedure may defer. I will just show you the various basic ways available with most laptops.
1. Look around your touch pad (especially the area between it and the keypad). Some laptops have a button here that turns the touch pad (laptop mouse) on and off. If you see one just press it.
2. If you do not see this button. Then check your fn keys (They are usually labeled in a different colour, e.g. blue). Usually they are on the normal function keys. Look for the one that resemble a mouse figure. If you see it, you need to press it in combination with the Fn key; press the Fn key first. (The Fn key is usually near the Ctrl key). This will turn on and off your touch pad (laptop mouse).

Mouse moves on its own

Your palm might be brushing on the touch pad while you are typing that is probably why the cursor jumps to a different location. as for disabling the touch pad I think that it is not possible unless you install a synaptics driver for your laptops touch pad.

Shortage?

There is a ribbon cable between the laptop & the screen. It sounds like you have a short in that cable. If you're not good with tedius electronic repairs, it would be best to have a shop repair it.
