How to put singer model 6233 foot pedal back together

Hello,
These machine s are mechanical wonders, always have your machine serviced by trained technician. End user servicing is not recommended, and if needed, parts will not be available to end users so take your machine in for service, repair and adjustments to sew perfectly. A new foot pedal can often be purchased on Ebay or Amazon.com just make sure it's made for your machine make and model when making this purchase.

Foot pedal not working

Check the cable; look for any breaks, or punctures (teeth marks, floor protector spike hole or pests). Take your connections apart and make sure the don't have carbon coatings (like black from a short). Next, check the connections are together fully (depress the pedal slightly while reconnecting and perhaps "wiggle" them around to make sure the parts are making good contact. Finally, take the pedal to a sewing center and ask them if you can test it on another sewing machine. If you are allowed to and it does work, you'll know it has something to do with your machine, it it doesn't work, you'll know you have to replace the pedal.

Foot pedal doesn't work

well if the foot pedal isn't working, you can either replace it with a new one or take the machine to a sewing machine repair shop & let them check the foot pedal & see if it's fixable

Pfaff 2020 Foot Pedal--taken apart; need help putting back tog.

Are you able to post a picture of what pieces you have? The contact board may not be pressed down all the way or the contact itself may be bent. You should be able to purchase both pieces if needed from a pfaff dealer.

I have replaced the contact plate in the foot pedal but am having trouble fitting the two pieces of the foot pedal together again.

I use the solution suggested in a previous posting. This involved using a piece of thread to hold back the contact strip and lining everything up first.
It took a lot of patience and about ten trys to get it right but it worked in the end. Reading that we had thought of the same solution, made us keep on trying. Thank you

Singer 7462 sewing machine

There is two seperate cords on this machine. A power cord and a pedal cord. If you put the power cord in and switch the machine on, and then remove the pedal cord it should give you a beeping sound, which shows you the connection does work.

Please give me feedback in order to help you
