If you are referring to a media card reader which you connect to a computer, it should not prompt for a driver, but the system usually will recognize it. Try to test it on another USB port and make sure the BIOS and or Chipset drivers of your system are updated.

I buy a micro SD 1gb memory card but it's not work it not showing the removable disk.

The card itself may have been damaged - or the reader is not working properly. Make sure the card is fully inserted into the reader and that the reader is fully connected to the computer. Fully connected means that the electrical connections of the jack or plug (USB) is fully inserted AND that the drivers for the reader have been installed. If prompted to restart the computer after installing the drivers - it may need to be done before the hardware can work as expected.

If unable to get the card working, try a different card in the same reader - or the same card in a different reader (to help you determine which of the two is having the problem). You may want to try the same combinations in a different USB port of the computer - or in a different computer completely.

Format micro SD card

Hi, The quickest way would be to insert micro SD card into an SD adapter or plug it into some card reader, then stick it into the computer's usb port. Proceed to "My Computer" right click onto memory card and select "Format".

I hope this helps.

I have a sandisk 2gb micro sd card. I put it into my computer's card reader and it keeps saying it needs to be formatted. When I try to format it it says windows was unable to complete the format. I am...

> unable to complete the format.

The FORMAT process is trying to write data to the card, but that writing is NOT successful,
i.e., the memory on the card is damaged/defective, and so it "fails".

Responsibly recycle the card, and purchase a replacement memory-card.

UNABLE TO ACCESSMY 4GB MICRO SD CARD

Your memory card reader lacks SDHC compatibility. You must either update your pc card reader to one which is compliant with SDHC or use a cheap external card reader to do the job.

SD and SDHC cards look the same and fit the same slots, but they have significant technical differences which older readers cannot handle.

most mini sd cards come with a full-sized sd card adapter that the mini slips into. You can then slip that in your computer if you have an sd slot or sd reader.
You can also buy very inexpensively, a usb port mini sd reader that you can plug directly into your usb port on your computer. Then after you'v dragged and dropped the files, you can put the mini sd back in your phone.

Installation

To answer install question,I don't see a format option,so you pull the card out and put it in to install.

This phone uses a micro sd card, and most times they come with an adapter, the adapter is just a regular sd card, you need a usb sd card
reader, they are real cheap, Ill poat a great site to get one below.

I do not have this phone, but it depends on the operating system on your computer, if the card is in the phone and you have the plug
for the computer, and plug in the phone, your PC might see the sd card in the phone and it will list the phone as a drive, that is,your hard drive shows as C, so your phone could show as E,f, depends
on what you have for drives. Windows will either pop up a windows
that says, installed phone,or install driver, could not install phone.

This is a page of readers you can get to plug your sd card into your
PC.

Pc not recognizing sandisk micro sd

The Card Reader you are using is probably not compatible with SDHC Memory Cards (High Capacity SD). You may need to get an SCHC compatible reader or check the website for your product to see if the is a driver update. You can get a new reader for about $20 bones if needed. I had the same issue.
