i have instaled active sync 4.1.0 on my desktop but when i try to sync my HP Ipaq hx2190b, the active sync on my desktop is activated but then after about 2seconds an alarm is issued on my HP Ipaq:"to syncronise this device you must install active sync 4.0 or higher on your desktop or computer". BUT i have instaled active sync 4.1.0 on my desktop

- I am having the exact same problem. I have tried install/uninstall activeSync 4.2 and 4.5. I then tried soft / hard reset on iPaq. It is a very frustrating problem. However, the same iPaq that will not connect via ActiveSync on my desktop PC works just fine when trying to connect to both of my laptops . Any help would be appreciated. - beverett82
