Need Drivers for network cards in donated computers.

I work for a school that recently was donated a few Gateway E Series professional computers that were yout of warranty. After wiping the hard drives and re-installing windows, I could find all the necassary drivers except the network cards. After looking for many days, I thought someone here might be able to help.

Here is the model number and serial for one of the machines. Any help would be appreciated.

Model #: MFATXPNT MDW CZZ KRNL#13533 USDAH P4H (yes, all of that, if anyone could shed light on why it is so long it would also be appreciated)
Serial: 0032229469

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a refurnish computer i was donated from the school and i think it needs to be rebooted

Rebooting only means shutting down the computer and restarting (or otherwise switching off and then back on). You may require the drive to be reformatted as NTFS (preferable) if a new operating System (OS) has to be installed.
Have you switched the computer on?
Does it boot up?
What OS is it (Microsoft XP Professional?)
If it was networked, the school has probably reformatted or removed the old hard drive. In which case a new OS will be required.

I have a Gateway T-series (Model:W350A) laptop. I just reinstalled Windows Vista and now the computer is not recognizing the built in wireless card. How do I get it to recognize it? Or how do I install the...

Plug in an ethernet cable into your ethernet card port on the left hand side of your laptop. When it connects to the internet click on the Windows update icon in the system tray. It should show you a Realtek Wireless RTL8187b wireless adapter driver update. Install it, you may need to reboot, but in any case you will have wireless networks available to you and you can pull out the ethernet cable. Good luck.

Missing local area network

It is possible that the drivers for your modem, or wireless card that you have in your computer wasn't on the disk that you had. That came with your comptuer that you installed on your new hardrive.

go to http://drivers.com/

They have a Free Driver Scan program that you can scan your comptuer, see if your missing or need to update any drivers for what you have. Then you can download the drivers for free.

Good luck.

Please rate me, and give feed back, or recommend me it be much helpful.

Have problem with windows Xp pro.

You can get the correct drivers from the Gateway website. Use another computer and download all the Windows XP files for that model number from the website. You need your model number of your pc. Get the files for your motherboard, video, sound card, network card, etc. save them to a usb key or a burn them to a cd. Take the usb key/cd to the other system and load the drivers.

This will get your system back up and running in now time.

I hope this helps you.

Network adapter: can't load drivers

A bad network card can be the issue here, if you're SURE that you've gotten the right drivers from gateway and followed their instructions then I'd try getting a USB network adapter or PCMCIA card. For that laptop, almost anything should work as long as it's compatable with your operating system, but it's always best to buy at a computer shop and see if they'll let you try it and make sure that it's compatable with your computer before buying.

Intel WM3B2100 802.11B wireless LAN card driver

    • If the Wireless LAN cards came pre-equipped with the laptops, then the drivers will be available for download straight from gateway's support site found here:
    • Enter your serial number on the back of the gateway, and it will direct you to the correct driver files you'll need.
    • If the wireless cards didn't come shipped with the laptop, you should be able to use the intel support site found here:
Either method should get you to a compatible driver :-)
