Question about HP LaserJet 2430dtn Printer
Our printer seems to have the same problem as previously posted by another user. It's leaving a black line down one side of all pages. We've recently changed the toner cartridge and have cleaned the inside and ran cleaning pages. What is a fuser and how do I replace it? Is it something we can replace on our own? Can you point me to a website?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Instructions to replace the fuser
1 Remove the back cover and io cover
2 Remove the fuser cable cover by releasing the tab on the cover, then rotate the back of the cover towards the centre of the printer
3 Remove the duplexer inlet guide by releasing the 2 tabs on the guide, hen slide the guide towards the back of the printer
4 Disconnect the 2 cables at the left inside the printer
5 Discounnect the fuser cable at the right side of the printer
6 Remove the 4 screws holding the fuser in place
7 Tilt the fuser towards the back of the printer, then slide the fuser out.
This really is quite simple to do.
