Cosco Car Seat

Hi, I don't have the car seat with me right now but I had checked previously for a product # and couldn't find one, it was manufactured I believe Nov. 2004. It is a product made in the US for Ontario Canada. It appears to be missing a small red plastic piece that is on the back bottom of the seat, it might be used to move the seat at an angle, I'm not sure, just wanted to know if it is a necessary piece or is the seat defective because of not having this piece?

I have the same problem.

Suggest a new solution for this problem
