Can't locate H and L screws to tune Ryobi EX26. There's a screwdriver slot cut in the plastic cover, but screws have no slots, or are capped.

Replace headlight bulb

Usually there is a small Phillips screw under the plastic lamp cover. Remove that, remove the cover and unscrew the bulb. Replace the cover and the screw.

Some covers may have a slot or two slots and you need a slim screwdriver in each slot to push back some locking tabs to release the cover. Don't push too hard or they might snap off.

Plastic cover

How to remove back cover of ViewSonic G71F+. First remove the 3 screws at the bottom , one on each side and one above the VGA cable. Now look for three small slots on the top of the monitor near the screen. From the side opposite the screen insert 2 medium-small flat blade screwdrivers into the center slot and the slot on one side at an angle of about 25 degrees from the top plane of the monitor then gently pry up by pushing the screwdriver handles toward the top plane of the monitor. Once the plastic latch in the center and one side are released move the screwdriver on the side to the opposite side to release that side.

Trying to locate my ecu in my 03 audi a4 quattro

Hi,

I'm Ben and -- hopefully -- I can provide some meaningful assistance.

If you are getting your vehicle chipped or flashed and you need to mail the ECU (or have it soldered) the ECU will have to come out of the vehicle.

I'll try to explain the process.

SUPPLIES - A couple of flat-head screwdrivers, torx bits and a dremel tool

  1. The ECU is located up at the firewall almost directly under the driver's side windshield wiper. To start, remove the wiper.
  2. There is a plastic cover guarding a nut that holds the wiper arm in place. Pop is off, and unbolt the wiper.
  3. After the wiper is out of the way, you can start to unscrew the cover for the ECU. Once you try this, you will see why the wiper needs to be removed. you will have to push the plastic that surrounds the wiper around in order to get to the torx screws in the back
  4. After the cover is off you will see the ECU. Push on the strap that covers the top in order to disengage it
  5. The ECU is resting in a metal sleeve which is securing it (and the harness) to the vehicle. In order to get it out, you will have to cut slots into the two security screws.
  6. NOTE: Cut the slots DEEP and across the whole head of the security screw. Use the BIGGEST flat-head screwdriver you have.
  7. The breaking loose of these screw - because of its location - is usually the most difficult part of the job. Take care not to strip the slots have enough juice to break these screws loose without stripping the slots.

Note, some individuals have had great success taking the big flathead, and clamping a pair of vice grips near the tip of the screwdriver. This allowed them to get a lot of steady torque on the heads. They broke free immediately or so I've been told.

After these screws are out you can disconnect the harnesses and slide it out of the security sleeve

Ship it and hope for the best... Pack it WELL

I purchased a replacement side view mirror for a 2010 Silverado. I need to remove the door panel to get to the wiring connection How do I remove the door panel?

Try with this procedure...
1) Start with opening the driver's side door and lowering the window. Remove lock lever (1A).
2) Using a plastic pry bar [slotted screwdriver], slowly pry plastic cover to reveal screw.

CAUTION: These plastic covers are fragile and break easily. Be very gentle in disengaging them.

3) Remove screw with a 10mm socket.
4) Slowly pry plastic cover using a plastic pry bar [slotted screwdriver].
5) Remove the (2) revealed screws with a 10mm socket.
6) Pry off the door panel controller using a plastic pry bar. Disconnect wiring and remove the controller.
7) With the plastic pry bar, pry around the triangular panel as shown.
8) Lift up and slowly pull door panel out partially.
9) Release the door lever rod with a needle nose pliers. Remove and set door panel aside.

My new toliet seat dosent seem to screw on properly its all wobblerly its going from side to side

You probably just need to tighten mounting screws. Most screws are covered by a cap or cover that snaps into place. You should be able to unsnap the cover with a small blade screwdriver or knife point. Use a wide blade screwdriver on the slotted head screw on top to tighten while holding retaining nuts on the underside of toilet. Some of the screws and nuts are plastic so you should be able to hold the nuts by hand while using screwdriver to tighten screws. If you can't hold nuts by hand use pliers. Some use brass screws and nuts so use proper size wrench to hold nut. Hope this helps you. Thanks

Ryobi 2800r gas trimmer how to adjust carb mixture?

The are limiter caps and can be removed. Just pop them off and you'll see screws under them (put a small screwdriver around the bottom of cap and push upward and they'll come off).

Ryobi EX26 dies when hot, won't start, then when cool starts

This sounnds too good to be true, but believe it!

The next time you run the trimmer and it starts to die, loosen the gas cap. It should start to run again. This means that the gas cap is clogged. Either clear the gas cap or buy a new one. This should solve the problem.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Ryobi lawn hornet wont start....continually

Hi Tamcoff - If its the same model as mine (and you can't always rely on the Parts Cattledog!!):

- to remove the bell housing; twist off the spring and using a T20 torx screwdriver unscrew the retaining screw in the centre of the housing (normal RH thread)
- place a large screwdriver in the slots of the cover to jam the impeller and using a copper drift (or similar) and hammer, tap sharply the in one of the clutch recesses (one of mine hasd 'OUT' embossed in it) unscrew the clutch from the drive shaft (normal RH thread)

Cheers,
Bob
