If you check the wire A4 which connects the bridge to the current
selector switch, make sure the connections are clean and tight. The
sense wire parallels it and dirty connections on A4 can make more
current flow through the sense wire than normal.
It is also possible the current sensor may be faulty, or has a bad connection, or is even seeing transient spikes from brush noise. The sensor connects to terminals 3 and 4 of J2 the 4 terminal connector on PCB1.
