Will not let me open. I get an error message when I click on messages. To open I have to go thru my yahho

Hi,

Let me understand your issue. When you are logged in Yahoo messenger and you receive an email, you are not able to open it and it gives an error message to launch ?

If so,

Follow the below instructions to resolve the issue
You will have to set Internet Explorer as your default browser
You will have to Clear/delete unwanted files and cookies stored in your PC memory downloaded from Internet surfing. ( there is no harm in deleting the cookies/files downloaded while surfing )

1. Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools from menu bar ( or you will find it on right side corner of Internet Explorer )
Click on Internet Options ( a window opens )
Under General Tab - Click on Delete button
Or
you may find Delete Files and Delete Cookies
Delete the files and cookies and click Apply button

2. Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools from menu bar
Click on Internet Options ( a window opens )
Click on Programs Tab from top
You will find Default Web Brower
Click on the option Make Default
Click Apply button below and Click ok

Next time try to open the mail once you receive and it should open from the click without you opening yahoo mail page.

Hey Buddy,

Open the browser (internet explorer) you are using on your PC. Open Yahoo.com

Then click on the Tools --- then select Internet Options --- A Menu Box will open --- Then click on the tab 'Use Current' . This will set Yahoo as your default home page.

If you find my answer helpful, please grade me. :)

I cant open my yahoo.com page

If you can get to the internet, but Yahoo is not opening, then try to clear the cookies, cache, and internet files of your internet browser. Here's how:

* For Internet Explorer version 6
1. Open IE6 > Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click the Delete Cookies button and Delete History.
3. Click on OK > Close and re-open your IE6.
4. Try accessing yahoo.com.

* For Internet Explorer version 7
1. Open IE7 > Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click the "Delete" button under the Browsing History option.
3. Delete the Cookies, Internet Files
4. Click on OK > Close and re-open IE7
5. Try accessing yahoo.com.

* For Mozilla FireFox
1. Open Firefox > Tools
2. Select "Clear Recent History"
3. Select Cookies, Cache, Browsing and Download History.
4. Close and re-open Firefox
5. Access yahoo.com.

Good luck!
