Question about Hotpoint Ultima WD72 Front Load Washer/Dryer
Water is drained from the machine and pumped away yet the pump runs and runs until the machine errors with a code suggesting "Water is not being pumped out". I know the water has drained and there are no blockages having cleaned everyhing through.
As a test I left the pipes diconnected and started a spin cycle (which kicks of a drain first) and the pump works fine but just does not go off. I suspect it must be a circuit issue which should tell the pump to stop after a set time?
Sounds like a pressure switch tube may be blocked or switch may be faulty. Is there a switch on your machine? If so try pulling the tube off at the bottom of the switch and blowing through it to clear the blockage. (If you take the top lid off you should see a diaphram operated switch with a small bore plastic tube going from it to the bottom of the machine)
