Question about HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One InkJet Printer

Please help me - scanning option disseppeared from my hp officejet Pro 8500 A909a. Was installed when I worked on Windows XP and now I work on Window 7. I made an updating on my driver (seeing an advice on my PC) but it doesn't help. Then I have deinstalled the driver and installed a new driver from Internet. It doesn't solv the problem. I see oly an inscription : "No scanning option. Refere to troubleshoot documentation". Please write me what to do ? Thank you very much in advance, Henry Schoenker

Closing the HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon in your Windows system tray can cause your device to lose some of its scan functionality and result in the No scanning option error message. If this happens, you can restore full functionality by starting the HP Digital Imaging Monitor. If this doesn't help then the monitor is corrupted. 
To fix that you must perform a full uninstall: first disconnect the printer from the pc. Next launch the official uninstaller. Then find and manually delete every single file and folder it has left behind - be very thorough, a lot of them will be in hidden folders, you must wipe them all. Then install and run a registry cleaner, one like
http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm
Then download (as in Save, not Run) all the installers you will need and install them in this exact order:
 - driver
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL31041/mp-77031-2/OJP8500vA909_Full_14.exe
 - update
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL32261/oj-81532-2/CPE_SCAN_DESTINATION_UPDATE_hpcom_001_003.exe
 - printing utility
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL34513/mp-86347-1/HPPDU.exe
 - scan utility
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL34826/oj-86449-1/HPSDU.exe
Once the install is completed it should work. If later the problem returns then use the scan utility to perform a diagnose and fix it.

Hp officejet pro 8500 a909a all in one series. unable to fax. message states: image on fax send report is set to off


Press the settings button i.e the button with the wrench icon on the machine. Now select "Print Report" and then "Image on Fax Send" and set it to "ON". Save the settings and try again. It should work.

Keep getting code 0060--won't start up. How do I get it reset?

you need to install the software driver of your printer to the computer where your printer is connected.you can command the scanner at the computer not on the printer butoons.just click the scan button on the printer icon...tnx and goodluck!

How are you connecting to the printer (over the network or a direct USB connection)? If you are using a USB connection, try a new cable or plugging into a different USB port. If you use a USB hub, try a direct connection.

If you are using a network connection, check if your firewall is blocking the connection. Also check that the router (or switch) didn't dropped the network connection and didn't re-synch with the printer (or worse changed the IP address of the printer).

HP Officejet 8500 A909a - Network Installation not successful


Uninstall all HP software. Then using regedit, go in there and delete any and all HP registry files that appear then reinstall the software and cross fingers.

My Officejet Pro 8500 won't scan, says "no scan options"


Kindly install the scanner software for printer the driver software cd just re install it will install the scanner software and make sure in device manger there is not other usb device listed if it is there just remove it. And refresh it in will automatically install the driver.
