Computer freezing while using Tascam 122l

I am using a tascam 122l interface with cubase le and everytime i plug the usb cord into my cpu cubase freezes. I even tried switchin computers but i still get the same problem. If you could please help!

ApprenticeI also have been having the same problem no matter what the sofware. Also I bought a gitar rig setup and got the same problm. So I have come to the conclusion that the asio drivers and usb guitar interface running with the music software ie Cubase Live ect are memory hogs and you must upgrade to 2 gigs if possible at least 1.5 gig. I have not done this yet to prove it out but intend to anyway. Probably the slower the cpu ( older) the more ram needed. If you do this and it works for you let me know please.

I would perhaps try to reinstall the drivers for the device, and be sure that under audio settings, you have the Tascam set as the default device. Try this and get back to me here if it still gives you problems.
