New batteries and my minolta 7000 will not power up

Check for battery leakage on the springs n the battery compartment. That is the usual cause. You may have to disassemble the battery holder to clean it all out (use CLR to resolve the sludge and then clean it off).

The motor dont move

Clean the battery holder if any leakage is present - check to make sure you get the 6 volts at the two contacts on the battery holder. If you have weak batteries then replace them - they do not have the amperage left to operate the motor (which is a huge power draw). if the motor itself has failed, you are pretty much out of luck as Minolta has been out of the camera business for over 5 years and there are no parts

Cant find batteries I live in Georgia

Depending on the battery holder, you can use AA, AAA, lithium.
If you have lithium battery holder, buy AAA battery holder or AA battery holder from eBay.

remove the battery holder, then remove the screws on the metal plate, remember different length of screws. gently lift the plate and replace the battery. it may take a while for systems to turn on.

Where can i buy a battery holder for a minolta maxxum 7000.

try a camera repair shop for a good used one, no new parts are available. or try ebay. you may have to buy a complete 7000, then keep it for parts.

Batteries left inside

Hey profseverus,
I hate being the bearer of bad news, but what is probably going on is that the battery acid has corroded internal components. You could have it looked at by an authorized service technician, and see how much it would cost to get fixed. I don't know how thorough you were with your cleaning, but you definitely want to get all corrosion out of the battery compartment (try using rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs).

Sincerely,
Allan

Maxxum 7000 camera lithium battery

The lithium button cell is under the metal plate where the battery holder attaches. There are six screws holding the plate to the camera. I believe the cell is a CR-2025.

That being said, replacing the lithium battery will only restore the cameras ability to remember your settings and frame counter when the regular batteries are not on the camera. It will not restore functions of the camera.

If the camera is not functioning properly, you have a power problem with the main batteries, not the memory backup cell
