It appears that Arrow does not offer a replacement switch/circuit board even though it is usually the first thing to fail which makes your staple gun worthless. The only solution I know of is to throw your staple gun away and buy another one from someone else that offers replacement parts and stands behind their products. Arrow does offer a limited guarantee from date of purchase

SOURCE: piece of staple stuck in the trigger section of arrow t-50p

First, remove the magazine pusher / spring and any staples loaded in the magazine.  Then try firing the gun to clear the staple.  Use a small jeweler's screwdriver and small needle nose pliers to get the staple out.  Reload and test.       These are relatively inexpensive staple guns.  If the problem persists it might be less trouble to replace the gun.     Best of luck and I hope this solution works for you.   Michael Mittelsdorf

Could be a bad power cord: broken wire at the switch; a bad switch; the stapler needs lubrication; or the stapler is shot.

I have a staple gun and when I pushed the trigger the staple it metal so now it's bent in the gun and part of the way out. How do I get it out?

When this happens, you have to release spring pressure against the staple strip then invert the staple gun and BEING ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT THE STAPLE OPENING IS NOT POINTED TOWARD YOU use pliers or a similar tool to remove all of the damaged staple. Reinsert the staple strip, point the gun away from you and test operation.

Plus minus is used for depthg of staple for soft wood use - for hard use +. Unlabelled is for activating the screen grabber which will hold a screen in place better and the trigger normal switch means turn to normal to use as a standard staple gun or turn to trigger which you will have to squeeze handle it will load up the tension and not release until you pull trigger.

When pressing the trigger to fire a staple, all I get is an air leak from the area of the trigger.

They all leak a little on firing. Is it a big blast of air or just a hiss? All guns have a 'safety' device that keeps them from firing unless you follow a set pattern. You must push the gun down where you intend to put the staple which releases the safety before you pulll the trigger. You must then release the trigger move the stapler off the piece push it back down again before you can fire another staple. You can get (free) frrom the manufacture a rapid fire shoe and trigger that allows you to hold down the trigger and bounce the stapler along your work shooting merrily away.

Nothing happens when you load paper to staple. It is a swingline electric stapler model 270

assuming it is plugged into a good power source and turned on (no offense intended, just getting the obvious out of the way - and I've fallen victim to the obvious myself before), look inside where you put the paper - is there a trigger mechanism? Most electric staplers have them (the paper hits the trigger and the stapler fires), and some allow you to set the sensitivity of the trigger. If yours allows you to adjust the sensitivity, try adjusting it. If it's not adjustable, the trigger probably needs to be replaced (under heavy use, they may need to be replaced every year or so).
