The most important think in a dryer is the vent that goes out side,if this is not clean the burner will keep going on and off,try this unplug the vent and then try it,if it works fine then you know its ,your vent clean vent,then put vent back on,all gas dryers have to be vented outside

The Kenmore 110 87880800 gas dryers starts up, ignites the gas initially, then 15 min later the dryer stops heating but continues to turn the drum. If we let the dryer sit for 20 min and turn it back on,...

Your dryer is heated by gas and what is happening is,when the coils that open the gas valve work when they are cool but once the dryer is running and the gas valve coils get warm they wont work,this is pretty typical of a bad gas valve coil.Replacing the coils will fix that.To replace the gas valve coils,UNPLUG THE DRYER, use a putty knife and place in the seam between the main front panel and the small lower front panel AT the corners and depress the clip that holds small panel to main panel.On the right side of the base frame behind the small panel is the burner asm. the coils are held to the gas valve by a bracket remove that bracket and replace the coils, they are black round shaped and one has 2 wires and one has 3 wires the plugs pull off and can be push onto the new coils with just a small amount of pressure.
The part # for the coils is 279834 They can be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at;

I hope i have helped you to be able to repair your dryer,

Heating element turns bright orange, gas does not ignite

you need to replace the primary and secondary gas valve coils on the top of the gas valve located inside the machine which will require you to remove the top cover and front panel to access the coils

Ok got a GE DVL223EB1WW Insufficent Heat

Yes think so , what should happen is element heats up controlled by fan blowing cold air across it this then heats to whatever thermostat is set to switch at, which in turn controls heat level..Air is then exausted via hose to waste unless its a condenser drier which then turns the steam back to water / which is collected in a waste condesate drum..hope this is helpful...

Heats then stops

You need to replace the 2 solenoid coils on the burner valve . When one of them gets hot from electricity going thru it , it opens ( shorts internally ) . After the dryer cools down , they will work again until they warm up , then , no heat . Take your complete model number , when you get the parts .

Heat does not stay on

Check the high limit thermostat. You can check it using a multimeter or ohmmeter. If bad, replace it. Hope this helped.

My gas dryer takes too long to dry

Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but you said it dries good. Does that mean UNTILL the heating element turns off? If this is the case you will want to check the thermistats with an ohm meter. If they are ok replace the two solenoids located on the gas valve. You can go to the parts store first and buy them if you're not sure what they look like.

White westinghouse

I have the same AEG T57800 dryer.  Problem, no heat. Couldn't find a service manual anywhere on the net. Checked for fuses and saw none. Thermostats on heater appeared fine, showing current flow. Replaced heating element 112 54 84 41/8, via local dealer - Respond Services from Electrolux UK in Durham DL5 6ED (£68), still no heat.  Called service tech who replaced the PCB - 973916012018008 (£135 + £85 callout charge). Very, Very annoyed at this as the dryer is only 3.5 yrs old.

Whirlpool dryer LEC8858EQ2

one of 2 things, over temp protection activating due to insufficient ventillation or motor is defective and heating up excessively.normally if both drum support wheels are worn or defective,plus if veld strip on drum is worn, motor will overwork and fail.
