I am trying to charge from the wall, at first, the light would come on showing it was supposed to be charging and I thought it was, but it did not. Now, no light comes on, it will not charge at all and my camera does not even turn on. I have taken it to a camera specialty shop, they say I need a new battery. I have gone to the Canadian Tire I purchased it from, they say they no longer carry the batter. I called/went to many stores and no one seems to carry this battery anymore. Where can I get a new battery?

You will need a 5V, 1 amp charger with a mini (not micro USB connector. Search Amazon. They sell the hybride Jazz 178 and accessories. When you plug it in it will charge automatically and the record button with flash red when it's charging.

I dont know how to get music on my jazz HDV178 video camera

Connect it with the USB cord, and explore the sd card... There will be a folder on it which says music. Open the folder and just drag & drop!

Finding acessories

According to the jazz camera website (http://www.jazzcameras.com/Product_Details/DV-169.htm) The DV169 uses a "NP 60 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery" I would do an ebay or google shopping search for "NP 60 Charger"...by the looks of it these are used by many different digital camera companies, but make sure to compare yours to the one in the pictures...plus look at your battery itself and make sure it says NP-60 somewhere on it. If you prevoiusly had to plug something directly into the Jazz camera, now you would just remove the bettery from the unit and charge it externally. Plus it looks like there are a bunch of deals where you could get a second battery out of it too.
