Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

Hi there, we have had our dishlex 300 dishwasher switched off for a while and today I turned it on. I started a cycle and it stopped after a few minutes and then the Eco button started flashing. I opened the dishwasher to find it full of water and leaking out of the button. Please help! Regards, Pania

Hi just read your posting. Now the reason these dishwashers flash ECO is because there is either water in the bottom tray or your drain pump is open circuit. Is the machine making a pumping noise when it is flashing the ECO light,or is it completely silent? Please reply on additional information and I am sure I can help you.Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Pania.Sorry it has taken me a little bit of time to get back to you but my computer was playing up.Now the problem with your machine is it is leaking water into the bottom tray under the dishwasher. Please turn the machine off at the wall because the pump might burn out if it keep going all the time. Now to repair this fault the leak on your dishwasher must be found. From the information in your 1st posting you mentioned that the machine was full of water when you opened the door.Is this correct? Is the machine empty now?Did it drain automatically or did you drain it by hand. Please reply with additional information on the questions and I am sure I can help you rectify this fault.Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Pania,Just read your posting. Now from the information in your posting the machine is full of water and you can hear a pumping sound and it did not drain automatically and you drained it by hand.Is this correct? Now look under the sink to the s bend of the kitchen sink. You should see the drain hose of the dishwasher attached to the s bend pipe. .Remove the clamp holding it to the nozzle of the pipe and gently pull the drain hose away from the s bend.Put a pencil or pen inside the nozzle to see if is blocked. Also turn the machine on and put the end of the hose into a bucket and select a cycle and push start and see if it drains. If the nozzle is blocked the pen should unblock it and if the water does not come out of the drain hose into the bucket the the hose will be kinked or blocked. Please try these things I mentioned and reply back on what happened.Looking forward to your reply.

Starts to fill on normal cycle then stops and fast cycle light comes on

If it's like a Dishlex 300, the fast cycle light means there is a blockage in the drain line, somewhere. Check and clean your filters. Also, check your drain hose going to the sink for a blockage.

Good luck!

Dishlex Global 300 Dishwasher

Thomo, make sure the sprayer holes in the spray arms are clean. Grains of rice seem to be a dishwashers biggest enemy as they don't desolve and eventually end up lodged in the spray holes. The holes at the end of the spray arms are the ones responsible for the washing out of the soap powder from the dispenser, if they are blocked this does not happen.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Tank is leaking

Is it the tank or just the door seals? Ours was leaking recently, there was an obvious tear in the door seal. Once fixed no probs.
