Question about Lenovo 3000 N100 Notebook
You can try a system restore point,restore system to an earlier time, if you have windows XP or equivalent.
I had this audio problem with my laptop a while ago,did a restore, and this seemed to work for me.
These yellow exclamation or question mark i think could mean you could have a software , hardware or virus problem, i have a virus problem some where on main computer mother board which i cant get rid of.
Try a virus scan.

If there's a yellow question mark next to the name of the sound card in Device Manager, there might be a problem.
Right-click the name of the sound card, and then click Properties.
Click the General tab, and then look in the Device status box to identify problems with the sound card.
Although most speakers have a volume control, you can control the overall level of sound using Windows.
Open Volume Control by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then, under Audio Devices and Sound, clicking Adjust system volume.
Under Main Volume, move the slider up or down to raise or lower the volume.
