Question about HP Compaq FP 7317 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
With the monitor hooked up and the computer on, you can take a bright flashlight and shine it on the screen and see if it is displaying a picture. If you can see a picture then you can go the route of fixing your back light. I have a spot light that I use and it works really well. If you can't see anything then you are probably SOL and have to replace the monitor.
