This is a nightmare of a machine ,I'd like to know how it can be legal to sell this in the first place. You are heading for a major headache .If its broken give it a big push right out your door.Consumers need to fight for there hard earned money back and put this manufacturer at fault for not properly testing these machines .

try unplugging, then while unplugged, hold in power button for 10 secs or so. then plug back in. (if that does not work, try holding in power button while plugging back in) good luck.

When the gpo is turned on machine starts to run without pushing on the power button.

It must have had a power cut when it was doing load and saves it in memory where it was last before power cut.

Ge adora washing machine beeps when pushing start with door closed

Hit the power button until there is NO display . Unplug and wait a minimum of 30 seconds , plug back in and within 30 seconds hit SIGNAL button then DELAY START button then SIGNAL button again then DELAY START button again. door should lock and display t01 It is now in test mode . There are 14 different test it can run through in this mode , but all we are trying to do is check for error codes now and maybe get you back to normal, So turn the knob one click clockwise and hit the START/PAUSE button and see if any error codes come up. To exit the diagnostic mode - hit signal button then delay start button then signal button then delay start button and you are out of service test mode and back to normal. Post any error codes.

Size setting
Action - Reselect the size of Smartdrive by using the SIZE SETTING MODE. Push and hold
the water temp up button, then press the power button to enter SIZE SETTING MODE. Three
LEDs are used to identify size.
The cold water temperature LED identifies 5kg.
The low water level LED identifies 6kg.
The hold spin speed LED identifies 7kg.
If the product has not been setup before all 3 LEDs will be on.
To set the size for 5kg push the wash temp up button then
the power button.
To set the size for 6kg push the water level up button then the power button.
To set the size for 7kg push the spin speed up button then the power button.
This locks the size
into memory. To check the size is set, start a cycle.

Control panel will not remain powered up.

What i think you are saying, you have to keep pushing power button down until it reaches the spin cycle. I am pretty sure you may have a faulty main board. The quickest way to find out, is obtaining a second hand board out of a machine with faulty seals. If this fixes the problem, which i am sure it will, you have the choice of buying a brand new board or using the second hand board. I have found small annoying faults with second hand boards, such as thermosat lights giving erractic changes.

My hotpoint washer drier power on/off button has broken.pls help

Smithbrother is on to it I think. Those push on push off buttons fail after awhile. You can get a replacement, put it on, or have it replaced. The appliance covers must be removed to detach wires, remove button, put new one in, and reattach wires to the replacement.
