Question about Samsung Computers & Internet

1 Answer

When i connect to the internet, for 2 min i am able to browse, but after that i am not able to open any webpages as it is showing as page cannot be displayed. I checked in other systems and it is working fine. I have disabled all the antivirus systems also, its not working. It is not working for broadband and LAN connections, but using other systems it is working. In the hardware / Device Manager, for network controller it is showing as a question mark. Please do let me know what has to be done.

Internet explorer cannot display webpage error on toshiba M35X-S114.

Go to Start > Search (Run in XP) and type cmd ENTER. In the command prompt type ipconfig /release ENTER. Then type ipconfig /renew ENTER. This just refreshes your IP. Test it. You should have an IP within the same scope as the others.

If not, test with cable for further testing.

Why when I login to my gmail it show security and nonsecurtiy?

i presume you are talking about secure and non secure internet content which comes up as warning when you browse internet. this is actually feature of microsoft that is integrated in to internet explorer 7 and 8 but mostly shows in 8. it does not really mean anything. you can open same page on firefox and it will probably wont show any warning. Only way to get rid of it is to go back to older internet explorer like 6 or follow this page

Some sites the scroll down speed is really slow. It seems like text pages are ok and ones with images really slows the scroll responce down. Any ideas??? Thanks!!

Sounds like you are having problems with your Internet connection speed. You could try some of these tips..
  • Step 1 Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections.
    Select "Internet Options."
Under Check for newer versions of stored pages, click "Automatically." Under browsing history, click "Settings."
If you're using dial-up, set the number under Disk Space to Use to between 250 and 1024 megabytes (MB). If you're using a DSL or cable connection, set it between 50 and 75 MB. Click "OK."
  • Step 2 Select "Delete" under Browsing history.
Click "Delete files..." under Temporary Internet Files to clear your browser cache.
Click "Delete cookies..." to remove all cookies from your hard drive.
  • Step 3 Disable any browser add-ons you don't need. In Internet Options, click "Programs." Click "Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer." Select the name of the add-on you don't want to load, and select "Disable" under Settings at the bottom of the dialogue box. Avoid deleting ActiveX controls as this will most likely cause the browser to prompt you each time you encounter content on the web, such as Flash animations, that use that control.
  • Step 4 Switch to a faster browser. While Internet Explorer is the most popular browser, it often causes pages to load slowly. Download a free browser such as Firefox, Opera or Chrome to get a quick speed boost to your browsing.
  • Step 5 Disable images in your browser. To disable images in Internet Explorer, open Internet Options and click the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down to "Multimedia" and uncheck "Show Pictures."
To disable them in Firefox, click Tools > Options in your browser window and select "Content." Uncheck the box beside "Load images automatically."
To disable images in Opera, open the arrow beside the camera icon at the bottom of your browser, and select "No images."
To browse with Google Chrome without images, right click on the Chrome shortcut and place the switch "-disable-images" without quotes after the last quotation mark in the path of the file.
  • Step 6 Disable active content if you're still experiencing a problem with your browsing speed. Return to the "Advanced" tab in Internet Options. Uncheck the boxes beside "Play animations in webpages" and "Play sounds in webpages."

Somebody installed windows live on my computer i now have msn as my desk top i want to go back to google classic

Hi. I am assuming you are talking about the page that Internet Explorer goes to when you first open it. If that is the case, try this:

    Windows Vista (all versions)

    1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button getopencontent.aspx?assetid=4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33&documentset=en-us&renderkey=xml, and then clicking Internet Explorer.
    2. Navigate to the webpage you would like to set as the home page.
    3. Click the arrow to the right of the Home button getopencontent.aspx?assetid=4aa01e82-2732-4ac7-b246-a06c904f2c2c&documentset=en-us&renderkey=xml, and then click Add or Change home page.
In the Add or Change Home Page dialog box, do one of the following:
    • To make the current webpage your only home page, click Use this webpage as your only home page.
    • 4. To start a home page tab set or to add the current webpage to your set of home page tabs, click Add this webpage to your home page tabs.
    • To replace your existing home page or home page tab set with the webpages you currently have open, click Use the current tab set as your home page. This option will only be available if you have more than one tab open in Internet Explorer.
    5. Click Yes to save your changes.

    Windows XP (all versions)

    1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Programs or All Programs, and clicking Internet Explorer.
    2. Navigate to the webpage you would like to set as the home page.
    3. On the pull-down menus at the top of the window, click the Tools menu and choose Internet Options (if the Tools is not showing at the top of the page, you can access it using the Tools pull-down menu located on the right side of the window).
    4. To make the current webpage your home page, click the “Use Current” button.
    5. Click OK to save your changes.

    Hope this helps!
