Question about Ovens
PF error means power failure. It appears when the power cord to the range is unplugged or due to a power surge. Try resetting the power to the range to check if the error disappears. Reset the power to the unit and check if the error still appears. If you have a Whirlpool range then you would need to replace the
ferrite bead kit (#8190596). In whirlpool it sometimes happens due to Line interference (electrical noise) from the direct spark
ignition module. Please check these instructions for installation to install the ferrite module--

Hello lornalang - Typically "PF" indicates power failure. Once again try reprogramming the range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. If it proves to be ineffective, the range may possibly be experiencing a wiring failure or faulty EOC. Consult a professional to move forward accurately and to assist with the repairs.
