Go to the system board manufacturer for your computer or you computer manufacturer's website i.e. www.hp.com and go to their "downloads" page after entering information pertaining to your computer (such as make, model number, etc.), and download the drivers. Have fun!

Motherboard owg233 MY sound card dont work. I have windoes vista on it

Try re-loading the drivers. If that doesn't work and windows is telling you it can't find the sound card, you will probably need to buy a new sound card and install it in your computer because the onboard sound card is bad.

No audio output device is installed

You can download the drivers from HP.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3689885#N150
Pull up windows Device manager and see if there is a yellow ? next to something like below (would say something about sound probably).

If you see the sound card with the yellow ? it means the hardware is being detected and probably ok, but windows needs the driver. If you dont see a yellow ? that means the computer isn't seeing the sound card so it is probably dead.
Assuming your computer can see the card, just download the drivers from HPs site and install and you should be good to go. Here is a direct link to the driver for the conexant audio card that comes in most, but some models came with a realtek card as well.

My grandad has bought a computer and i tryed to show him how to play a dvd but no sound was playing. I found out there was no sound card? I dont actually know what this means but surely a computer should...

If there is no sound card. Probably it was disabled the sound and maybe there is no really sound card was installed. To make it short buy a PCI sound card, turn off your computer and install the card to PCI slot and turn on your computer and your computer will detect that there is a found new hardware. Ignore it and insert the cd installer and install the driver of your sound card. If it's ask you to restart just restart your computer to update its system. In case that there is a built in sound on your computer check your motherboard model and search for the driver from their official website and download and install, if you download the correct driver it will automatically installed your sound and your sound will be working. Have a nice day!

Your speakers are not working need a driver for speakers according to device manager model no is vs2620

You dont need drivers for your speakers, you need drivers for your sound card. This is probably built into the motherboard. Download your drivers from your computer manufacturers support/download page

Igot REALY old speakers that used to worke perfectly well

The speakers themselves are probably not your problem. Some speakers use the USB connection while others use the Audio output jack of your sound card. The problem is likely with your sound card (assuming you use the Audio output jack). If you rebuilt your computer, chances are you're missing the device driver for your sound card (these are small programs that let your hardware talk to your operating system). You'll need to download the correct device driver for your exact sound card. You probably don't know the sound card make/model. You can download Belarc Advisor (www.belarc.com) which will scan your PC for all hardware and software. Once you have that report, you should be able to go to the sound card manfucturer's website and download the latest device driver. You can always find out if it's the speakers by connecting them to another computer. Good luck.
