There are two ways to do this... from the panel or from the computer.
From the copiers panel
1) press the * button marked as System menu on the panel. Then you select "scanner default". you will be asked for a code. try 5000 if this does not work 6482 will. Now select "default settings"
The setting should be in here if memory serves me right. change it and at the top of the page be sure to touch on "Close" and not "back" touching "back" will result in that the setting will not be saved.
From your computer
1) get the scanner card's I.P. address. this is done by pressing the * button marked as System menu on the panel. Then you select "scanner default". you will be asked for a code. try 5000 if this does not work 6482 will. Now select "system basic setting" and write down the IP address shown on the display. Now Press the yellow reset button with the two white lines on the panel to exit. If you do not exit the menu using this button you will have to wait about 2 minutes for the scanner card to reboot.
2) from any computer connected to the network, open your web browsing utility (Internet Explorer if you're running Windows) and in the address bar where you would normally type the address of the website, type in the IP address that you wrote down in step1, and press enter.
3) In the left hand side of the screen, click on "Scanner default settings. the file format setting should be found in here. change it to PDF, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "SUBMIT"
