Gm stock trailer brake controller wiring ,when hooked up to the controller , turns the parking assist off (disabled),why or whats the fix ( all power wires hooked up, trailer brakes work fine )

the sensors are designed that way normal function when tow is set up behind vehicle if not the park assist alarm would be ringing/beeping all the time because of distance the trailer or what ever is hooked up to tow is to rear of vehicle your owners manual also explains this function

When i pull my trailer ahead the trailer brakes lock up

The brakes system is surge? Not electric?
Probable cause is corrosion from sitting.. Rock the trailer back and forth while hitched( Not crazy like please- be gentle. ) Hit the brakes each way which takes a knack. It should break free. Problem is long term storage( over winter). They may also be stuck in reverse.. The controller. may need a hammer whack( universal adjuster)

Brake Box Will Not Work

First try a 12 volt "stab in" test light pushed into the blue wire at the brake controller. Red is brake feed from the truck, black is 12 volt power and white is ground. If all is wired correctly, the blue wire should power up when you hit the brakes. Be sure to turn the controller up to highest setting to test it. When you hook the test light up, the connection indication light should come on. Then turn red when you hit the brakes. Also see for more info.

Our truck has an Accupower Digitrac II electric brake controller

When I googled again, I found a reference which included a manufacturer's name - Tekonsha.
I then googled Tekonsha and found, and it led me to a technical support section in downloadable Adobe format with instructions for all of their brands of electric brake controllers. The instructions are very thorough and include installation, operation and troubleshooting.

Trailer brake control

I use a AccuPower Pod brake controller, by Tekonsha. It is small, and easily adjusted. Most RV retailers can install them.
