How can i rest a password on my truvision dvr30

The TVR 30 is shipped with one predefined user for the system administrator and
seven predefined standard users. The default system administrator logon uses admin
as the account name with a default password of 1234. You can modify the admin
password but not the admin user name. The seven predefined standard users are
labeled User1 to User7 with a default password of 4321 and level 4 access. The
administrator can customize the seven standard users and define their privileges.
Use the Users screen (shown in Figure 20 below) to manage users.
Note: When accessing the main menu for the first time, the system lets you pick
either an admin user or a regular user (User 4) by default. If you select User 4, enter
the initial default password of 4321.

  1. Choose a laptop or WiFi device that is currently connected to your network. If none of your devices are connected, use an Ethernet cable and connect a computer or laptop directly to your wireless gateway.
  2. Open a web browser and go to the Admin Tool (http://10.0.0.1) - this is the wireless gateway's administration site. The default settings are:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: password (case-sensitive)
      how6361image002.png
    • Note: If you changed your Admin Tool password previously, you will need to use your new login information. If you don't remember your Admin Tool password, you will need to factory reset your wireless gateway. Instructions on how to do this can be found by reviewing the wireless gateway user guides at Wireless Gateway Guides.
  3. On the left navigation menu, select Gateway, then Connection and then Wi-Fi.
    how6361image003.png
  4. Under Private Wi-Fi Network, you'll see the Name (SSID) of your WiFi network. (You may want to write down this information.)
    • Wireless Gateway 1 customers, click EDIT at the right.
    • Wireless Gateway 2 customers, click EDIT for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to view the settings for each. ?

  5. Check the box next to Show Network Password. The Network Password (Network Key) will be displayed above. (You may want to write down this information.)

    • On this page, you can also edit your wireless network information, including changing your Network Name (SSID) or Password (Network Key). If you make any changes, remember to click SAVE SETTINGS.
  6. Now that you have your Network Name (SSID) and Password (Network Key), you can connect your WiFi devices to your network.
  7. If you have changed any information, use the new information to reconnect all your WiFi devices to your network.

Putting pasword

wirelessl ?

Many households have unsecured wireless networks, which can lead to hackers as well as leaks in confidential information. However, you can password-protect your wireless network by taking some basic steps.

Determine your network IP address by navigating to the "Start" menu and selecting "Run." In the Run dialog, type "cmd" (without quotes) and click "OK." The Command Prompt dialog opens. Type "ipconfig/all" (without quotes) and press "Enter." The command prompt will display a list of data for you network, including your IP address. Launch a Web browser and input your IP address in the address box. The control page of your router is displayed. Refer to the manual that came with your specific router on the manufacturer password/user name to login to your network. Usually the User Name is "admin" or "password" and the password is either "admin" or "password." Sometimes these fields are left blank. After logging into the router you can access the administrative functions. Within the administrative functions, navigate to the security settings. Within the security settings, you can change the username and password to log in to the router. Disable the router's remote administrative functions. Remote administrative functions allow anyone using the Internet to access your router. To be more secure, disable these options. The only reason to enable them is if a network administrator isn't always on location. Change the network's name. Your router comes with a default network name like WLAN or Linksys. These names are referred to as SSIDs. You want to change the name to something that you will recognize, but others won't associate with you. If your name is John, don't call your network "John's Network." Enable encryption and enter a password in the appropriate field. Wireless routers use several types of encryption, including WPA2, WPA and WEP.
At the time of publication, WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protect Access 2) is the most secure encryption format available on some routers. But you can't use this encryption type if your router doesn't support it. WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) is recommended if WPA2 isn't available on your specific model. WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy is the least secure of all the encryption formats and is relatively easy to hack. If you have no other choice, use at least WEP encryption. Some protection is better than no protection.. Record your password and settings for future reference. If you lose your password, you can reset your wireless router to the manufacturer's default settings by pressing the router's "Reset" button, usually found on the back of the unit. Remember to re-secure your network after a reset.

My son reset my pass word on my administrative account how do i log on that user

First, you can try this method.Start system and press F8 key when Windows is starting up. Then select Safe Mode with Command Prompt and enter. Choose Administrator, the default password may be blank if you don't set the default administrator password before. Then you will enter into doc Command as following.
Type " net user net user xxx 12345 /add " (xxx is the locked account name and 123456 is the new password set on this account). Then you will see the Command Completed Successfully.
Then this method can fully help you remove the administrator password,i highly suggest you this one.
1. Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download windows Password key from http://www.lostwindowspassword.com and install it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD or a USB flash drive.
2. Insert the newly created CD/USB drive to the locked computer.
3. Reboot the locked computer and press'F2'or'Delete'to enter your BIOS setup and then followed the process of instructions. Just a few steps, the old password was removed.

I want to change password for wifi network

1
Open up an Internet browser window on your computer system. To gain access to the default settings, type in the default IP address of the wireless router in your Internet browser's address bar and press enter. You must refer to the wireless router's documentation or navigate to the manufacturer's website for the correct IP address.

2
Type the default user name and password in the security dialog box that appears, then press Enter on your keyboard. Because different router manufacturers use different default user names and passwords, refer back to your router's documentation or support webpage for the correct information.

3
Navigate through the router administration pages to find the wireless router's administrator password settings. Change the default user name and password to a unique set so that possible unauthorized access to your router settings will not take place. Make sure to hit "Save Settings" to complete the change.

4
Set up your wireless security settings by navigating to the proper administration settings page. By default, wireless routers do not come with a password for connectivity access. Choose the appropriate wireless security level you need and type in a unique user name and password. Save these new settings and log out of the router's administration setup.

5
Write down the user names and passwords for both network access and the administration setup page. Keep these user names and passwords in a safe place.

Thanks.
Have a great day.

How do I lock my Dell TruMobile 2300 wireless router to keep the neighbors from getting access to my wireless internet connection

press win key + r
under run type cmd
on the command prompt type ipconfig
not down your defaut gateway.
type it in your web browser, and then enter the correct user name and password for the router.(i u dont know the user name leave it blank or try admin for both user name and password or its combination o call dell for it)
Create a unique password on your router : Once you have logged into your router, the first thing you should do to secure your network is to change the default password* of the router to something more secure.
This will prevent others from accessing the router and you can easily maintain the security settings that you want. You can change the password from the Administration settings on your router’s settings page. The default values are generally admin / password.
Change your Network’s SSID name:
The SSID (or Wireless Network Name) of your Wireless Router is usually pre-defined as "default" or is set as the brand name of the router (e.g., linksys). Although this will not make your network inherently* more secure, changing the SSID name of your network is a good idea as it will make it more obvious for others to know which network they are connecting to.
This setting is usually under the basic wireless settings in your router’s settings page. Once this is set, you will always be sure that you are connecting to the correct Wireless network even if there are multiple wireless networks in your area. Don’t use your name, home address or other personal information in the SSID name.
This is sufficient to secure your router from other to use it.
