I've have a flash drive that says that kind of warning every time i plug it in to a computer with vista, and it doesn't do it on XP.

I just cancel out and move on. What I mean is I ignore it and close the window and have no problems operating it.

May be one of those vista glitches.

I connect my apello m300 to laptop.but show this error in that time."The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" why show this messege

Compare the "corrupted message" to a child with a pen writing all over the "table of contents" of a book. Some of the entries in that table of contents have become unreadable.

So, the "logical-integrity" of the disk-drive has been compromised, either by a software error (Windows writing files to the wrong place on the disk-drive) or by a hardware (Windows tried to write files to the correct place, but that part of the disk-drive cannot reliably be accurately recorded).

I am not able to open files in 16 GB transcend pen drive . it gives messege windows cannot open the file . OS is windows xp

Is the Icon of your Pen-Drive showing just exact, I mean just like a removable media icon? If it is not, if it is a icon of a Folder, then it might be infected by viruses. Take care of this situation and be sure to scan your Removable Pen-Drive with a good quality anti-virus to remove all the traces of the viruses. And I am presuming this may be the only cause where your OS can not open your Pen-Drive. If this is the case, the files in the Pen-Drive may be corrupted, and if the files are not healed for long, this may lead to corruption of your Pen-Drive!

Pen Drive write Protect

Hey, the transcend pen drives usually have a small switch on the side of it, ie to turn the write protect on and off, usually a small lock symbol on it, the problem with unreadable files names etc, could be a corrupt partition, i would suggest formatting the drive as long as you aint got any important information on it

good luck:-)

Hard disk acess problem

Hi, What the message mean is that Windows can not read/understand the filing system (something like the Table of Contents in a book) and therefore do not which and where are your files in the 80Gb. A few things you can try: 1. Run Windows Scandisdk on the Hitachi 80Gb; 2. Run any third party disk check/utility such Norton Disk Doctor. Alternately, you can use a file recovery software (such as GetDataBack) to recover/copy all your important files from the 80Gb and transfer them to another mass storage device. Thereafter, you can re-partition and re-format the said Hitachi to start new/fresh/clean. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turnes up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
