Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S90 Digital Camera
The camera works when turned on in picture review .. but as soon as you turn the dial to a picture taking mode or video mode ... it turns itself off...
also it wont turn on at all when in picture or video mode i press power and it turns on for a split second but the shutter wont extend and then it yurns itself off... its never been dropped and is only a year old
Unit in camera mode required ample current from battery source.Make sure your battery is charged properly. If camera using AA batteries .I recommend using higher output rechargable batteries .If unit uses a Sony battery make sure it is good.Otherwise there is a good chance the lens has a problem opening thus shutting down on camera mode

You could try removing the batteries for at least one minute and then reinserting them, or you could try initializing the camera back to the factory settings under the setup menu. I hope this helps!
