Contact ASUS and give them the RMA number. Those do expire after a period of time. They will give you where to ship it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

When you login your email, type your username or email address , you will find the words " I've forgot my password "
beneath the password rectangle , click on it and the service will send you a message to the substitute email address you fill in when you subscribed to the current email . or in some cases they will send you a message to your mobile phone if you had gave them the number .

Cant remember password.person who created account recently died and unable to login into account...please help!!

  1. If you've added security info to your account, a one-time code to the alternate phone number or email address you gave us, is sent. When you enter that code on the next screen, you'll be able to make a new password.
  2. If you don't have or can't get to your alternate phone number or email address, tap I don't have access to these. You'll go to a security questionnaire, where you'll be asked for info like the subject lines of email you recently sent from your account, your birthdate, credit card info, and other details that only you would know.
  3. You can also go directly to the Reset your password page, and follow the instructions.

Asus Eee new just wont turn on and it smells like burned plastic at one side

New Gloria?

Take it right back to the store you got it from.
They do not exist anymore?

Then send to Asus. They need to either fix it for FREE, (And pay shipping back to you), or replace the netbook.

Store doesn't want to honor repair, or Asus?

LET ME KNOW

Post back in a Comment.

(Sorry, but I think of Asus, as I think of.......well............NOTHING.
They do not post Service Manuals for their laptops, and this is a strike against the consumer.

Wouldn't have one because of that, if you gave it to me.

Toshiba either. Jus sayin' )

I have a potential buyer for a listing in Craigslist, I am not sure I trust this person. They say they will pay through paypal and asked me to send my email account information. Is this different from my...

I can only address this based on my personal feelings. Others may tell you something different. I use craigslist quite often and I have one personal rule...If your potential customer EVER asks for personally identify information from you STOP! Never give any account information, personally identifying information, personal e-mail addresses, telephone numbers or anything else that might expose you to personal and financial harm, or Internet scams.

Use your basic instincts. If it don't feel right...don't do it!

I had a craigslist customer who wanted to buy a laptop from me. He actually had the nerve to ask me to send him the laptop and if it was any good he would send a check! I wrote back to him and said, "Send a check, if any good I will send laptop!" Case closed!

I gave my email address and password to someone and now i cant access my account

Hi

Why???

Go to the login page of your e-mail provider and then click "forgot password", it will direct you to a page where you can answer security questions to prove you own the account.

Tell them to block the account until further notice.

If you get access and do not find any major security problems (check your inbox and sent box to see what happened while you were locked out), then change the password and don't give your password to anyone again. Nobody else needs to have your password,

If any of your e-mails contain passwords, codes or account numbers for other web accounts or bank accounts or anything similar, then you need to change them all.

You cannot even report the person to anyone, because you gave them the password, so you are responsible for what happened.

Choose more honest friends and do not be so trusting in future.

If you cannot be certain of your security, open a new e-mail account and e-mail your family, your genuine friends and organizations and businesses that e-mail you to inform them of your new e-mail address.

Hope this helps.

Someone has gotten all my contacts off my computer and is sending spam and links using my email address, HELP

This is the main reason why you are getting all this spam email. 95% of all junk mail you get is because you gave your email address to somebody, somehow, somewhere.

Ask yourself to whom you gave your email address.

Examples to whom you disclosed your email address

Online Forums
News Groups
Sign-ups software downloads
From IRC and chat rooms
Your homepage
Your business card
White & yellow pages
Your friends!
This list only contains the main sources where you disclose your email address.

Other sources of Spam Email

Through Mail Relaying
Mail Relaying is sending mail to a user that is not local to the server you have connected to. It slows down your email and gives spammers free bandwidth.

Through dictionary attacks
This happens when spammers connect to your server and just trying random address or even stepping through the alphabet. Some servers will block the sending server after X number of failures, some set max recipients per message and others set a delay between recipients to slow down the spammer, causing them to go elsewhere.

Through the selling of e-mail addresses
Companies sell your information to other companies.

Trojans/Script capturing
By using HTML e-mails, spammers can confirm your email address. Best to disable preview window and delete the message. You can disable HTML or even block the email client from communicating on port 80.

Thanks

Have a great day.

How do i get my router to not give out IP addresses

Turn off the "DHCP Service".

That would be "Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol", and it's the service that assigns IP addresses automatically.

If you need "DHCP" to connect yourself, you could always turn off your "ssid broadcast".

That way, nobody (including you) will see your router while scanning, wardriving, etc.
Of course, you will know it's there and what "ssid"
you gave it, so you'll be able to connect just by using the right ssid.

Mobile Problem

(1) Short for Domain Name System (or Service or Server), an Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. Because domain names are alphabetic, they're easier to remember. The Internet however, is really based on IP addresses. Every time you use a domain name, therefore, a DNS service must translate the name into the corresponding IP address. For example, the domain name www.example.com might translate to 198.105.232.4. The DNS system is, in fact, its own network. If one DNS server doesn't know how to translate a particular domain name, it asks another one, and so on, until the correct IP address is returned. (2) Short for digital nervous system, a term coined by Bill Gates to describe a network of personal computers that make it easier to obtain and understand information. ____________________________________________________

Here it is what is DNS. It is your provider's responsibility to give you thir DNS number as it is must to access net. Most of providers prefer to send it directly to your phone as configuration setting. You have to only save it. Some providers give service of setting by their customer care division or area support office. You should ask him for so. Nobody can provide you this information, me also, sorry for that. FIXING your mind....I tried....do vote if so...
