Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
Fault can be from the magnetron, the main capacitor, the door latch contacts , the controller unit or the transformer.
You must use a logic to check from the fuse to the magnetron to the capacitor .Look for short only after checking if there is no residueal high voltage or you will end up damaging the meter.
If high voltage is present during the microwave cycle then the magnetron can be defective.
Please also check for the temperature cut off mounted on the walls of the chamber.
