Question about Samsung HP-T4234 TV

1 Answer

I have a HPT4234 Samsung 42" Plasma HDTV that is about 2 years old and is making a clicking sound and not turning on or turning on and then off. Hundreds of people seem to be having this same problem. What part do I need? Thank you

It is more common on their lcd tv but I've seen it on the plasmas too. There are some capacitors on the power supply that are swollen (rounded or peaked on top) Look for these caps and replace with same type example 1000mf electrolytic. The working voltage must be at least the same or higher (never go lower!) example if it says 10v on the side replace with 10v or a higher value. Also put the replacement in the same way as the original They have a plus and minus to them like a battery.Very important as you can damage the parts and/or the tv.

Check the relay you might have a bad relay board. Also check other things like decoder board. I am sure you might have a stuck relay. its hard to tell behind email.

LG PLASMA TV WITH COLOURED LINES OVER SCREEN

If the Video (Picture/Pix) is gone but you can hear the Audio (sound), then it could mean the YSUS PCB Assembly is gone/kaput/finish. Can replace the PCB, not repair the PCB due to timing circuitry involve. Cost maybe roughly $500 depending where you located. The PCB is located on the left hand side of your TV when you are facing the back (Back open). Might find 3-4 brown flex membrane connecting to the plasma panel. The PCB has a silver or black aluminum heatsink (big) on it.
Good Luck.
