Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

The left click button on my M-UAG120 mouse has become very temperamental. Sometimes it works when you click it, sometimes it doesn't. Is there a way of cleaning it to improve performance? There's no screws. I assume it clicks together but don't want to mess around with it in fair of breaking the casing. Kind regards. Jon Gits

There are screws under the oval gliders on the bottom of the mouse (end opposite of the cable). just remove the glider (stick-on) and there are 2 small phillips screws. Remove the screws and lift the top from the same end (opposite the cable) and pull back to detach the top from a tab over the mouse. if you need to remove the roller assembly, turn the mouse over and feel for a hole between the two round gliders. punch a hole into the hole. you can gently push the roller assembly out of it's mount by pushing a small screwdriver gently through the hole

Loss of control over my mouse.

Hi Arsenal,

My Logitech cordless occasionally does the same thing. On mine it was caused by a build up of gunk over the optical sensor. Once I cleaned it, it functioned normally.

I know it doesn't make sense as far as the buttons. I'm just sharing what worked for me. Hope it works for you.

Best regards
Mike

My wireless mouse and receiver are not synching

Try clicking on the left mouse button. I have a relative with a wireless mouse and found that it sometimes loses connection and that clicking on the mouse button 'woke it up' and started working again.

My VX revolution is missing too much left clicks. Sometimes I need to click 5 times to get 1 click. All the others buttons are working fine. How I can fix this? thks

Seems that the left mouse button needs to be replaced. If you have an old mouse, you can use it as a source of a spare mouse button, & replace the defective button on your VX Revolution.
However, you need to make sure that:
1. The replacement button is identical to the defective one.
2. You have enough skills to solder/desolder electronic components.

Try uninstalling the drivers for the mouse from the device manager, the do a hardware search, it will find the device and automatically reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't work, then the synaptic touch pad is shot and needs replaced.
