Question about Altec Lansing Audio Players & Recorders
I know this was old query, but i recently had a problem with sound cutting out. Discovered if I jammed a spoon between the two cables input to the sub box, I could get sound back. Today finally got around to opening it up and discovered the soldering on both sides of the 8 pin anchor leads were broken. The pressure of the spoon jam allowed the connection to "seat" temporarily. Fixed with 25w iron and 60/40rosin core 0.032" solder. Wicked the old broken mess off and applied dab of new shiny complete solder. Good Luck all.
