I want my pictures..please HELP!!!

I talked to a guy yesterday from Kodak and I explained that my memory card keeps telling me that I need to format my card.....I have a lot of important pictures on there and I wanted a solution to get around formatting my card until after retrieving my pictures...the guy told me if i got a card reader or go to a photo store I will be able to get my pictures. I went to the photo center in walmart and they were unable to help they told me to get a card reader/writer and that should work....I got one and it is still telling me that I need to format....What am I doing wrong and please tell me how I can get my pictures before I format my card.

This has happened to me before. What I did was just use the cord that came with the camera and plug it into the computer and just get it off that way. So then you will still have your pictures and it will be safe for you to format your card.

Remove the memory card from the camera, go into menu and locate format, follow the prompt to remove all pictures. When that has been completed install the SD card and camera should function normally.

If the "other" pictures have been taken with a differed camera your camera will not read the memory card until it is formatted to your camera. Formatting will erase all pictures on the card. You need to download the pictures to the computer. Format the memory card and then you will be able to transfer pictures from the internal memory to the memory card then to print or to the computer. You should format the memory card after each time you download the pictures to the computer.

We insert a memory chip into our Kodak EasyShare C190 camera. The read-out informs us that the memory card requires formatting. We click on "OK." The camera goes into a "formatting" mode, then informs us...

Your camera is only supporting SD/MMC Cards (up to 2 GB) and KODAK SDHC Cards (up to 8 GB).
The card that you currently have might be faulty. Please try another card.
You might also need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

I have a Kodak easyshare LS443 and when I put in a new picture memory card (bought two of them already), after it says 'format memory card' and I do, it just keeps saying 'reading memory card' and nothing...

Hello,

Make sure that the memory card you used is compatible w/ your camera. If same issue persists after using the compatible card, camera is unable to detect the memory card. Card compartment is defective. call 1.800.235.6325 for repair.

Thanks.

Memory card is in camera(kodak c613) Camera

Make sure the card is fully pushed in; otherwise it could be the reader.
You could try to insert the card into an external card reader connected to a PC.
If it is recognized by windows, click "format".
If that works put the card back into the camera.
If it is now recognized, go to "menu" and format again with the camera.
If the card is not recognized, your internal card reader seems to be faulty.

Help with kodak M753 camera and memory card!

If you format the card, the pictures are gone leaving you with a blank memory card.

Format the card in your camera, then load it up in your computer and see if the cycle goes away.

Once you get a picture on the memory card and in your computer, keep an eye on the memory specs reporting on the computer and see if there is anything unusual. I've heard of a few defective cards but its rare.

if the cards your using are 2gb or less and it loops on the formatting msg, the cam needs to be serviced
