Need to open the panel and inspect inside the dryer. Obviously the power cord is not a problem, but some wires connecting to the circuit board panel got loose then caused such a problem. Use the volmeter and follow the schematic to check the proper terminals.

Need wiring schematics for Haier HWR12XC5 AC

My friend ... you are doing a simple repair ... you don't need a wiring schematic to replace this power cord. When you get the unit open ... you will find the other end of the ripped cord ... black goes to black, white goes to white green goes to green or ground. In fact ... you will trim the end of the cord and reattach it using either crimp connectors or wire nuts.

Changing power cord from 4 to 3 prong

Hi,

See this link and read the article carefully - if your dryer already has a 4 wire cord, it should be replaced with same type.

Power cord was pulled loose from internal connections.

The pressure switch will have 4 terminals. 2 marked "line" and 2 marked "load". You must hook the power cord to the "line" terminals and you must hook the compressor motor cord to the "load" terminals. MAKE SURE THE BLACK LEADS MATCH EACH OTHER,AND THE WHITES MATCH EACH OTHER.
If this does not make sense DON'T PROCEED. contact me or an electian.

The following link explains how to connect a 3-prong and 4-prong power cord to an appliance. Since you did not post your location, I'm assuming this is for the United States:

I hope you find this information helpful. Please read through the link thoroughly. If you still have questions or concerns, please let me know.
