Question about Samsung Televison & Video
This is a common problem with the set. The power supply has 2 or 3 capacitors that are swollen because they can't handle the voltage anymore.Eventually it won't come on at all.If you can use a soldering iron you can repair for several bucks. If you get a TV repair service they may want to replace the entire power supply instead which will cost hundreds. You can verify the problem with a visual inspection of the board. The caps will be rounded or peaked on top unlike the other normal caps which are flat on top.
