It doesn't use a memory chip. The on/off button is on the top of the camera.

Compaq sr1303wm makes beeping

This is normally caused by a memory issue. Unplug the computer, pull out the memory chips. Now place one chip in one of the slots and turn the computer on. Even if the computer comes on, unplug it again and try the other chip in the same slot. Then repeat the process in the other slot. Hopefully one of the chips will cause the condition and not a memory slot. If it is a chip then just replace that memory chip. If it is a slot, you will have to either not use that slot or replace the motherboard.

I have a dell inspiron 545. I lost my display and the computer now beeps four times, pauses and beeps four more times. Can you tell me what happened to my computer?

This is normally a memory error. Turn off the computer, and open the side of the case. Pull and re-seat all memory chips. Turn power on, if it still beeps. Turn off power, pull all the memory chips and re-seat one only. Turn on power if it beeps againg, pull the chip out and try the other one. Repeat for all chips. If you find any that do not cause the beep issue, you have found your bad memory chip. If not, try the same one at a time memory test in a different slot on the computer. If no beeps, then its a bad slot and dont use that memory slot.

If none of this works; as unlikely as it seems you could have all bad memory chips, or a bad mother board.

Flashing green lightbulb

Do you hear the fans running? Do you hear the hard drive spinning? Did anything ever appear on the monitor?

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Powers on then off in 2 sec

Do you see any blinking lights or hear any beeps? Beeps and Blinking lights tells the technician what is going on with the computer.
Either your video card is bad or you might have some bad memory. Does the video ever post anything on the screen when you press the power button to start the computer?

It really sounds like a memory problem.

While you have the case open check for dust around the fans and inside the computer. If dust is clogging the fans, vents and inside the computer blow it out with a can of compressed air.
This is a sign of overheating also, but I'm assuming that this is happening after your computer has been sitting around idle for a while then you turn it on and it shuts off in two seconds, so it couldn't be running hot.

I got a dell 640 but it does not turn on, it starts to turn the lights on...but it doesn't turn on the monitor

The first and easiest thing to check first is the memory. I have seen alot of Dells that the memory burns out and will not let it come on. Try Pulling the memory and replace 1 chip at a time and try it. Good luck and have a great day.

How do you change RAM for a LG P1 Express Dual

You need to google the exact model to find out the memory you need. Unhook the power and turn over the laptop. Remove the battery as well. i can't find the manual for that model but there should be a small door probably with a couple screws holding it closed. remove the screws to access the memory.
On each side of the memory chip you will see tabs. GENTLY move them away from the chip. it should pop up on an angle. remove the memory and repeat the same step if there are two slots and you intend to replace both chips.
When you remove the memory note where the slot on the bottom of the memory chip is. Replace the bottom chip first by gently sliding it into the connector. When it is seated push down on the chip gently till it clicks into place. repeat the same with the second memory chip.
After you are done put the cover back on with the screws.

Turn over the laptop and reboot and watch to see that the memory has been recognized.

Laptop Turning On But Nothing Happens - Replaced Memory

This does sound like a memory problem, and it more likely that a memory chip is bad versus the memory slot. The slots will be numbered 1&2, the memory will generally work in either, but the 1 slot is preferred. Try starting with just one chip in, try both slots, then try the other chip. It may just be one chip that is bad. If it is the slot, it shouldn't hurt the chip, but the motherboard will need replaced in order to fix it.
